These plastic gears are pretty much worthless. I took the car out for 10 mins and stripped the gear at the shaft hole where the pin locks the spur in. It's worth the investment to get a metal spur from Hot Racing.

i supposed if youre running all stock then you'll be fine but this plastic gear stripped in the first 15 mins of running.

Inexpensive and good to have spares. Direct drive doesn’t have a clutch or anything the slip. I have a $30 hardened steel spur that I don’t use because I would rather strip a $5 spur than my diffs.
