I realize that this is an expensive fireplace, especially since it doesn't provide heat. But I wanted to make sure that what I purchased for use on our screened porch was designed to be outdoors in all kinds of weather. As for how it looks--it is stunning! I have control of the color and speed of the flames and the color and intensity of the "bed of coals" from a phone app. It's amusing that one's brain seems to be calmed and your body is feels "warmed" by this totally artificial display! If you can afford it, go for it!

Nice mantel good quality. This is the natural color and it is a bit yellow but ended up looking good with my fireplace. The cleat doesn't hold the mantel snugly against the wall but easy to install.

This mantle is great quality and beautiful dark rustic wood. I got the dark color but I didn't quite see that the texture of the wood was going to be so pronounced. It definitely has a more rustic or farmhouse vibe.It does come with everything you need to hang it. And installation is pretty straightforward.This is a beautiful piece that will definitely be a focal point. The quality of the wood makes this look more expensive than it is. So I would say that it is a great value.

I purchased a Touchstone fireplace and this mantel. I am very pleased with the quality of both. This mantel is beautiful and easy to assemble.

The quality and ease of install on this fireplace is superb. We looked at some home depot mantels and felt they lacked real quality.This feels so niceReally wood material, it's light weight and was easy to mount but it's solid at the same time

I can't love this mantel enough. The quality and construction are amazing and superior to others off the shelf from big box stores that can be cheap in quality but look nice in pictures. This mantel has style AND quality. The craftmanship is stellar. I mean, it's beautiful.I live in a converted loft condo where the walls are brick, the timber ceilings are original, and the 14 x 14 wood pillars are real. Quality is important to me, but I also don't want to invest thousands of dollars in a 1000 square foot place. This is a true gem of a value, and I KNOW how much one can spend on a true wood mantel.The finish is smooth but still almost matte. It's the perfect natural look. LOVE IT.
