The unit leaks slowly. I’ve tried two of them, and it seeps water, not the same quality as the original product. In addition, the flush handle rubs against the tower, making it impossible for it to go up and down had to purchase a different style flush handle in order to make this thing work some design and engineering is needed to correct these issues. It is definitely not a direct replacement.

Tank nuts were sub optimal. Tank leaked because the Tank nut gaskets were too thin and did not seal. I had to go to a local hardware store to get a set that worked efficiently.Having to reset the Tank 3 times was not appreciated. The rest of the system worked fine.

I was very pleased with this purchase. After awhile, these flush valves, like any other, tend to stick, leak, or otherwise not seal properly. I've found it difficult to find a proper replacement. Most shops carry old style flappers or newer, complex replacement kits. Nearly all options require removing the tank and swapping out the entire assembly. Read that as a major overhaul. This flush valve was a perfect fit for the existing toilets. I was able to swap out old for new without any major toilet work. I just opened the tank lid, removed the old, added the new, and placed the lid back on. Now I have a working toilet again. I didn't need the bottom ring or bolts, just the top assembly. So much easier to replace.
