The bowl is heavy for titanium , has a groove at the bottom making it a bit difficult to get food out and has a strange metal flake look unlike any other titanium products . It's a bowl ๐ฅฃ

Just right to fry one pancake. It's a handy little bowl/plate.

Surprisingly light weight for a titanium bowl Flecked appearance its durable and easy to wash. Comes with a handy mesh carrying bag. Use it to cook with or eat out of. Sure to with stand any camping outing. It would benefit from an attachable handle when using it to cook with.

This is a very good camping or hiking bowl for those of us who enjoy long trips. It comes with a convenient storage bag so that you can easily find a spot for it in your backpack without causing damage. The bowl is wider than it is deep, so you'll want to be careful with liquid in this size, but for thick stews or rice, it worked well to contain them. It can get hot, but fingerless gloves or using the carrying case to sit it in helps with that.I found it easier to wash with a cloth than with a sponge because it has some grooves in the design that the sponge required more scrubbing and manipulating to access. I found soaking it in a basin of water for a few minutes helped with that.I didn't find that it affected the flavour of the food, which has happened with some I've tried.

I ordered this for camping. It is a perfect-sized plate with high edges that will double as a bowl. Typically, I prefer double-walled cups and bowls because hot items will cool quickly in titanium, and it can be difficult to hold the hot item with my hands. This bowl comes with a mesh bag to store it in when not in use. Titanium is very durable, stronger than steel, and doesn't rust, but it scratches easily, so the mesh bag is nice. This bowl is made of lightweight titanium. It doesn't rush and works great for beach camping, where salt quickly corrodes other metals, and the high heat makes most plastics too flexible. This bowl has an odd 'galvanized looking' finish. I've never seen titanium with this type of finish before. I generally prefer the matte silver titanium look. I graded this bowl down one star because of a rough spot where the top is rolled over on itself. Either the titanium wasn't cut precisely, or the rolling process didn't fold it under properly. I took a roto tool and ground off the burr. This bowl is not finished to a high degree, but the value pricing for an item like this makes this bowl a good one for camping.

The SILVERANT titanium camping bowl is my first time experiencing a titanium bowl. It is pretty light for a bowl which works great if you're on the move carrying it. The provided mesh bag really helps allow you to carry it around and dry while on the go.The crystallized style of this bowl is not something I expected since most of the time the metal bowls are just shiny or matte metal.I found the bowl to be a perfect size. I have the 800ml one. There is a smaller size available. There is no โlidโ provided, but if you buy the matching plate then you can cover the bowl to keep the bugs out of your bowl of food. The bowl is very easy to clean and hopefully will stay that way even after long use for camping.

As described, but slightly smaller than I expected. Versatile enough to accommodate pretty much all types of meals from soups and porridge to sandwiches or pasta. The mesh carrying bag is remarkably high quality. A set of two or four would be more practical for my needs, but I guess it's nice to have an extra plate that can withstand cooking temperatures.

I go backcountry camping where I have to pack and carry everything for long distances, and as a result, I'm always looking to shave a few grams off my load. I already have a large cup/small pot in titanium, but its shape is not always ideal to eat out of, and a bit problematic when you're sharing meals by a fire. The bowl is a great size and shape, with walls that come almost vertical by the top, which means your contents are more likely to stay in your bowl, rather than on the ground. You can also use it as a large cup in a pinch, to sip broth or hot drinks (see below, be careful because of heat transfer). The material isn't like the usual dull grey titanium that I'm used to - this appears more like a galvanized steel with small flecks of reflective surfaces, although the flecks don't have texture themselves, the entire surface feels even, and there's an overall bit of texture like a non-stick pan. This bowl is super sturdy, and while not ultralight, it's about on a par with some plastic bowls of the same size, with the added bonus of not melting should you need it for some emergency cooking. Since it's titanium, heat transfer is very good, but it also means that in cold weather, the contents will cool quicker, and the bowl will be very hot to hold if you have hot contents - there's an included warning to be careful when dealing boiling water. The lip is folded over with a substantial rim, so you can use a pot holder to grip it for very hot contents or cooking, or for things like extending your reach to scoop up some lake water (please remember to do your dishes away from the lake, though!).There's another ridge around the base which seems less than ideal โ while it gives more stability when putting the bowl down, the fact that there's an inner groove makes for a bit more fiddling about when cleaning. Nothing a bit more care with a sponge or brush can't handle, but every little bit helps in the woods. It comes with a good quality double-layer mesh bag that's slightly padded and a few instructions.

This titanium bowl is both much cooler and slightly less awesome than I expected.First, though, it is pretty much exactly what you would expect in a titanium bowl--light, durable, high thermal conductivity, and so on.The slightly less awesome part is the size. Somehow I expected it to be bigger. But that is entirely on me. Just be aware that the 300 ML plate is too small for a "man-sized" portion of food. That's neither good nor bad, just something to be aware of.The awesome part is that--as another reviewer noted--it is not quite a bowl and not quite a plate. That makes it a good multipurpose dish. Beyond that, while the pictures made the crystallized titanium look a little like galvanized sheet metal, the reality is that it has a bit of sparkle to it that really sets it apart from the run-of-the-mill titanium tableware usually seen around the campfire.Durable, cool-looking, and it should last forever. Love the plate, and I will probably get the bowl to go with it, or maybe go up a size, cuz the 300 ML really is kind of small.I only wish it wasn't made in China.

This ultralight titanium bowl is almost a plate almost a bowl. Itโs got a good size to fit a normal amount of food on it and it has sloped edges that are good to contain your food but not tall enough to make it a good bowl.It is very lightweight and comes in a very nice bag to store it. It also has a very high heat conductivity so it will transfer your hot stew into your hands.I like how lightweight it is, and how easy it is to clean. And I find myself using it more as a plate than a bowl. It would make a good addition to a very lightweight camping, set up where ounces matter.

The bowl comes from Silverant which looking at their product line has a reputation for providing quality titanium campware. The concern I have is the crystallized coating of the bowl. I guess Iโm just not used to a rougher coating on my camp cookware. Iโve already washed and eaten from it and itโs not flaking which is good. Will update review as I use it more and if any issues arise.

Has a weird ("crystalized"?) look to it, with shiny flecks throughout. I own other Silver Ant stuff, and was expecting it to be the same look. It's also heavier than I expected. At first, I thought it wasn't titanium, and I'd only assumed so, based on past products. Ran back to the ad to check, and it says it's titanium. Maybe it's heavy because it's pretty thick? I run into that with titanium bottles and cookpots that are extremely light, but then have a thick, heavy lid. It IS pretty thick.Comes with a well-above-standard carry bag, like their other mess kits and cups. Love the stretchy mesh material, and it looks and feels like quality.I'd prefer it not to have the "crystalized" look, but it does look cool. I think I'd like the usual flat silver color of theirs and most other titanium stuff I have. And maybe thinner, so it would be lighter. I know it's a trade-off, because thinner titanium usually dents up pretty easily, and this doesn't seem like it will. Sturdier than usual.Wouldn't mind it coming with a lid, and maybe some silverware, but it's just supposed to be a plate. Wish I didn't just put all my other mess kit stuff in storage, with a bunch of things piled on top of the trunk it's in. Anxious to see if and how well it fits into my Silver Ant cookware set. Looks like it will. So, even though it doesn't quite fit my preferences and expectations, I can't deduct a whole star. I'll call it a 4.5. And, I think it's priced well for a titanium piece of gear, so that gets it the half star extra credit showing, instead of taken away. I'm guessing this is an improved version of a past plate they came out with, that may have dented easier, and they beefed it up a little. Just my guess. Wouldn't mind seeing the thinner one, if it exists, and hope to see more from Silver Ant in the future. Good stuff. ๐
