In all fairness, I do have the newer version Time Iclics on some my cycles, but still have these pedals on some of my bikes. After riding Speedplay pedals from SF to LA and getting hotfoot, I switched to these for a lager pedal platform and never looked back. I did break the front clip-in off a cleat during a ride once, and now replace them when they show there age.

The cleat's "Cafe" profile is good feature. Metal cleats material lasts ~4-5K miles before wear affects pedal engagement,Save old hardware. My third pair had problematic bolts, unlike previous 2x purchases. I found the supplied bolts were faulty. Old bolts from previous cleats worked perfectly.
