Difference Between SA156 and SA155
A bobbin's diameter and height are called its style. Each sewing machine brand and model uses a particular bobbin style and will not work with other bobbin styles.
- SA156 - also known as Class 15, A style, or Size A is 13/16 inch (20mm) in diameter (approximately the size of a nickel) and 7/16 inch (12mm) high. It's top and bottom, called the flanges, are flat. Most sewing machines use this type of bobbin. If your sewing machine makes computerized embroidery, it probably uses this type of bobbin.
- SA155 or the L style or Size L has the same diameter and flat flanges but is only 5/16 inch (9mm) high. This type is the most common embroidery bobbin for home and commercial sewing machines.
Exercise due diligence and make sure you use the correct bobbins style, so you don't damage your embroidery sewing machine.

I used this product to embroider with. Purchased 60wt, started off fine but I found I had to start adjusting my tension because thread starting showing on the front of project. First picture when Started, Second picture adjusted tension a lot.

These bobbins (Size A (SA156)) are great to use in my Ellegante 3 Baby lock machine. It really saves time to have them prewound. And nothing is better than to be able to slip a new one into your machine when you are working on a project so you don’t have to stop to wind another one. The thread is good quality and does not tangle or break when sewing. The thread is wound very uniform and is smooth on the bobbin. They come in a box which I also like because they are easy to store in my sewing cabinet. The thread can come off the bobbins a little when you move the box around, which isn’t a big deal. The cost is a little pricey compared to do it yourself but all sewing products are. Can’t beat the prewounds.

Love these bobbins from ThreadNanny. Works perfectly in both my BabyLock Destiny2 and my Janome6500! One trick I learned: pull off about 5 arm lengths of thread BEFORE loading into embroidery machine — it just can’t handle the almost overfilled Bobbin. Most pre-wound bobbins are this full, so this is not a negative. Nice thread, not linty, sews evenly. I will be buying more of these bobbins! I ordered the 60 wt. in white. Price/value is excellent. The black bobbins are considerably more costly; don’t know why and haven’t tried those.

I just purchased a Brother pe770 and I might mention i have no experience what so ever with embroidery or sewing! Other than at my old job where i only heat pressed i occasionally helped clean threads on large embroidery orders is all! I have only had it a few days...but i immediately popped one in and gave it a try..my first run through an applique faux pocket seemed ok then the final step (border of faux pocket) was supposed to be purple but ended up alllllll white with occasional purple threads! I was scared but i think it was my mistake somewhere on the threading top thread...because i have used machine several times since and not had this problem....love these! on my third one out of the box and no other problems yet...
