I've used this thread brand before and they quality seems nice. My machine doesn't have an issue with it at all. It works great, the colors are great and I really like it.

I like this brand of embroidery thread. It works well, doesn’t break, and has pretty colors.

I was worried that these would be flimsy, but they're not. I sew a lot, both on the machine & by hand. These have stood the test of time. Everytime I have a new project I am so glad to look through my assortment of threads and find just the shade I need. Machine work proves that they hold up well, often I am sewing heavy duty items and the thread doesn't break. Hand work, like beading or mending, I don't experience a problem with tangling. Just a great collection, thank you!

I bought the Simthread 63 Brother colour set first and after doing a few pieces of embroidery on my baby, Janome MC9900, which sewed out beautifully, look really vibrant and wash very nicely, decided to concentrate on Simthreads for my machine embroidery needs. There haven't been any instances of thread breakage or shredding and the machine doesn't seem to accumulate much fluff whilst in embroidery mode either. After searching for other colours I came across the Madeira colour sets, bit the bullet and bought all 3 colour collections and must say that now they've arrived I'm not disappointed. In real life, the colours are more gorgeous than the pictures and I'm really looking forward to sewing out my grandaughters birthday present this afternoon - a book cushion with Elsa and Anna from Frozen embroidered on the front. Now for the but......... After opening all three boxes to sort the threads into colour sequence I found that not only had Black and White been duplicated (as expected although unwanted on my part since I have already purchased 2 x Simthread 5000m spools each of both colours) but Shade S079 (Carnation Red) is supplied in each colour set. Now, I understand that Red is an important colour in Chinese life but why do they not explain that if you buy all 3 from the set then each one contains that same shade? Maybe a small niggle for some but I have an aversion to Red in the first place :-(The other but............ Simthread have 120 colours in the Madeira set but I can't find collection No. 4 anywhere, I've scoured the internet to no avail. Does anyone know if there is one and if so, where can I find it please? I would be so happy to have the full range of colours. In summary, although the two buts are a pain, it won't stop me buying Simthread in future. I love the quality of the thread as does my baby. For me it's like a marriage made in heaven.

I have purchased both Brothread and Simthread. I have never used Madeira thread so I can't compare I have yet to have any issues with breaking thread. The colors are vibrant and have an excellent sheen for a polyester thread. I have only used this thread for embroidery and not for general sewing so I cannot testify as to whether is strong enough for anything other than machine embroidery. While the numbering system is different Broththread and Simthread appear to be the same thread. If you have a collection of Brothread and you order a Simthread assortment you most likely will have a few duplicate color spools. I have do not have a number conversion chart for Brothread to Simthread. Wish I could find one.
