The red handle slotted install tool bends while installing the coil because of the cheap metal it is made from.👎🏻 Once the thread insert is set deep, the handle has to be forced out because it bent inward during the coil install. Everything else in the kit is great. The problem is the slot cut at the end of the install tool is too deep. You have to grind down the tip of the slotted tool so it just catches the installation tab of the coil insert. Then it will work. 👍🏻

Perfect for repair on front timing chain cover (aluminum) on 3.8L Jeep V6 where the water pump bolts always break! You would think FCA would use stainless steel bolts in an area exposed to moisture!

This is the second one of these I've purchased. They worked great for rethreading stripped bolt holes in a chainsaw and a motorcycle engine. They were priced right and came on time

I didn't think this was going to be that good , being its half the price of helicoil and has bad reviews. To my surprise they have held up well in aluminum and steel. The drill bit and tap is diffidently lower quality than what comes in helicoil. I end up using my own better quality drill bit and take my time when tapping the hole.

This may not be a brand name however for a DIYer who is on a very restricted budget this did the job! Thank you so much for keeping this affordable. I had to bore a hole in the had of my toyota tundra.
