Stronger than Mylar with the filtering properties protected within the substrate. Guaranteed five years.;Make a filter on your own for any telescope / binoculars / camera, and for a fraction of what factory made filters cost.;The sun will appear in a natural orange color when viewed through your telescope using this filter.;WARNING: ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE FILTER IS WELL ATTACHED TO THE TELESCOPE/BINOCULARS, USING STICKY TAPE, TO KEEP IT FROM FALLING WHILE OBSERVING!

I ordered 2 of these films to make a set of solar filters for my Celestron Skymaster 15x70 binoculars. They worked very well for both visual and photographic observing. I would definitely purchase other sizes to create filters for my dob and refractor for general solar observations as retail solar filters are fairly expensive...unless you are using them regularly.

It was easy to put on my camera lens and it worked very well. Got a picture of the sunspot that enable us to see the Northern Lights in the South.

It was a bit confusing how to use the film over the cell phone. Glasses were great.

This sheet of film filters out the brightest light and allows a camera to capture images of the solar disk prior to eclipse. In my case, I will use a 3D printer to make a holder for the film that slips onto the lens shroud of my Sony DSC-HX400V camera to capture images of the sun during the eclipse before and after totality. In testing, it does a great job of blocking the direct sunlight and show the solar disk.
