I got this so my husband can brew his coffee and keep it hot while he’s out. He uses it every weekend. It’s not very large so it may only hold half a pot but it’s good for about 4-5 cups.

This is a well built, small carafe, perfect for my needs. Now I can make coffee early and keep it hot and fresh for a couple hours for my husband when he gets up. I fill with hot water while coffee is brewing to pre warm. It’s not dishwasher safe but so far has been easy to clean. Rubber gasket is removable. Very happy with it.

I would expect to keep it hot til at least 2-3h.. it doesn't at all. I make coffee around 8am.. 11am is less than warm, not hot at all. I have to heat it up which it looses the purpose. After a few months of use, I can see the issue some mention with to open the lid too.

We were warned. Earlier reviews said this was/is a problem. We couldn't believe it could be *that* difficult. We can just barely grip the release tabs with pliers to get the lid to pop off. And while the metal bottom part keeps the coffee fairly hot for a couple of hours, a lot of heat escapes through the top, even if it is set in place tighter than a tick.
