Ok, so these are shameless Chinese copies of Probe Master grabbers. In fact, they are printed on their side with the words "Probe Master." Unlike the real Probe Masters, they do not screw on to the probe tip. Rather they are a friction fit for any standard 2mm probe tip, like Fluke or Pomona. I find that they fit very securely on the 2mm probe tip and appear well made. The plunger operates smoothly and the wire material that the hook is made of is firm and securely grabs a component leg. They offer a quick and convenient way to convert standard probes into mini grabbers with nothing more than a firm push onto the probe tip. If you have Probe Master leads, stick with the genuine Probe Master grabbers. Since these are a friction fit, they could scratch the gold plated probe tips.

These are the Idea accessory for my Fluke Multimeter test leads. Fit perfectly and really help when working with electronic circuit testing. Be sure to check the size of the probe tip before ordering. The tip should also have the undercut which firmly retain the lead while being used. Easy to put on and take off.

These are a welcome addition to my test leads. They work well.

These test clips fitted well over my Fluke test probes, a good tight fit with a good connection. They do exactly what I needed from them at a good price, so I'm happy.

Just an FYI to purchasers. As expected, the M4 connector thread is metric. I have an old Beckman TECH 300 meter and leads, and the fit is VERY close but not exact. The leads on my meter have ASE 10-32 threads. I need the leads pretty badly so I forced a partial cross-thread to get one on and it works just fine. I guess the days of ASE leads and parts is over since I cannot find any that fit my meter. I am now afraid to order a whole new set of banana plug clips because I'm not sure they will fit at the meter end. Next time I will probably need to break down and buy a new meter because of a broken lead end.

In the last year I've really gotten into repairing electronics. Retirement does strange things to people. Anyway, I've been enjoying tracing down the parts that have failed or are going to, and in doing this I came to understand rather quickly why you see a number of the people in those electronics fix-it videos on YouTube use test hook clips on their different diagnostic meters and tools. I don't have 3 hands and work by myself, so having a way to use my test equipment efficiently and comfortably became important. Enter these BOCEUC Test Hook Clips! They do the job and were quite affordable. I see two aspects of using these leads: One, functionality (my wife gets angry when she hears this term, saying it's not a real word, doesn't matter that I showed it to her in a dictionary); Second, ergonomics. How do the BOCEUC clips meet these aspects? Well, okay; not perfectly (for me anyway) but okay. First, the actual clips at the end of the probes do the job, but they aren't quite as "fine" gauge-wise as others I've seen in use. I've been able to use them on every lead I've tried them on, but there have been places where due to the clips slightly "beefier" wire gauge size I've had to pry some components over to one-side, or a little higher off of the PCB I'm working on. But, like I said, I've managed to use them on everything I've come across so far. Now, ergonomics; okay, I'm not sure what I expected when I looked at these leads and ordered them, but now that I have them and put them into use I find that they are not quite as well-designed as I would have thought them to be "tactilely." What I'm getting at is, yes, they work, they do the job, but when you actually are trying to "hook" the leads' clips onto the leg of a capacitor or resistor, etc., in order to extend the "hook" you must be holding onto the grip-area of the actual lead and then press on the skirted-hood portion of the clip itself. When I first looked at the picture of the clips on the website what I thought was that to extend the clips' hooks you would place your thumb and middle finger over the skirted-hood on the clip itself and then push with your index finger on the "ferrule" on the lower barrel portion of the clips, i.e. all of the action of extending the hook of the clip was contained within the clips. As it is, in order to extend the hooks out of the end of the clip leads, the test lead itself must be installed in the clips, otherwise there's nothing to cause the hooks to extend out. Does any of this matter? Does it cause a problem in using the clip hooks? No, to either question. It's just that my perception caused me to anticipate how I would need to manipulate the clips to use them, and I was wrong. So why am I explaining all of this? Because I have another set of hook clips that do work the way I thought these would: All of the action to extend the clips' hooks is confined to the clips themselves, and I find that they feel very natural in how they work ergonomically, while these clips from BOCEUC simply don't feel quite right in how they are manipulated. This probably won't matter to a lot of people that want to have a pair of lead hook clips. The quality is fine, the price is good. I bought 2 different sized sets of these clips for 2 different meters I use, and they both fit their leads fine and do the job, They are simply not what I expected and considering that a large part of using a tool is how it "feels" in your hand when in use, they are a bit of a let-down. I'll keep them and use them, but they have left me a bit wanting a better tool.
