These are used for my t.v. room ceiling fan lights. 4 of them. They are candelabra based lights. These are the brightest lights that I have been able to find. The big box stores do not have them. At least not this bright. These lights are on most of the day it seems. Very good for reading the paper or a big book. Most attractive lighting I have found for these light fixtures. They lasted for at least 1 year or more. I buy them 4 at a time. Hope this helps. 5000K rated. Highest I have found outside of Amazon is 3500K which were too yellow for me.

Looking for a smaller lamp with same wattage to use with a ceiling fan (mini version). Longevity is less than expected.

I purchased 2 of these bulbs about 5 months ago to give my plants in my office some full spectrum light. These are not grow lights, just full spectrum. They are 5000k which means they give a nice bright, almost white light which I appreciate in my somewhat dark office. I put them in my lamps and have the lamps on a timer so that they are on about 13 hours each day. After 5 months these bulbs are still going strong. There has been no strobing effect or strange noises coming from them as I have seen reported with some other brands of cfl lamps.

It works, but 850 lumens is being generous. I've got 3 in a ceiling fan and it's barely enough to light up the room.Updating post....after finding another set of bulbs that will fit the E12 base I realize how dim these things are. Simply awful and not worth the money. Zero chance these are 850 lumens,

Not reliable. I ordered 3 bulbs in 9/2015. Were great and bright, just not reliable.1 was dead on arrival & replaced1 started flickering 3/2016 (after 6 months)1 died 4/2016 (after 7 months)Down from 3 to 1 working bulb after only 7 months. Would not recommend.

Well it's nice and bright when it's on, but when it's "off", it blinks like a slow strobe light...what the hell?!

So far this light bulb is functioning quite well. When I ordered it I was initially concerned that it would not fit in my ceiling fan fixture but it turned out to be the perfect size. Too bad there isn't an option for a 6500k version as I really wanted that daylight color temperature, the 5000k on this model is good enough though. It takes about 30 seconds to reach its full brightness like most other CFLs and once on does a good job a lighting a 14'x14' room with its 850 lumens. It's also UL listed which wasn't indicated on Amazon however very useful to know. I have no problem recommending this light bulb.
