The LED is longer and a bit wider than the discontinued CFL (TCP XR3014) that it replaces. I bought it to replace the CFL bulb in a Fantech bathroom fan light fixture. The shorter CFL bulb used to sit behind the fan grille and so the grille would sit flush against the ceiling. The longer LED is also a bit wider that it will not easily pass through the hole of the grille. I almost returned the bulb but then I thought of scraping around the plastic grille hole to widen it just enough so that the bulb can pass through it. The bulb sticks out a little bit but the grille now stays flush against the ceiling. The LED is brighter and hopefully will last longer than the CFL bulb that had to be replaced often (and is no longer available anywhere).

Unusual base is difficult to find locally. Works perfectly in our Fantech fixture.

I combined this bulb with a special LED dimmer that includes a setting knob to avoid flickering but nothing worked. It's either full bright or flickering, so I'm not sure why they claim it's dimmable. With a regular switch, it's ok, but still on the bright side for just 9 Watt (hence the dimmer requirement for my needs).UPDATE:I found out that dimming will NEVER work if the sockets were previously wired for bulbs that require ballast, like CFL's. As the circuitry in my kitchen is not easily accessible, it's not possible for me to remove the ballast and therefore: NO dimming. The bulbs are actually pretty good, so I'm changing my rating to 4 stars.

I have two Fantech PB100F fan-light units from 2007 each with a PBF4 light fixture. Each has a TCP XR3014 CFL bulb. Both are still illuminating fine after 15 years (probably under 3000 hours run time so far), but seeing that TCP now makes this direct replacement L9PLVD5027K LED bulb, I thought it was a good time to make the switch. The replacement is plug and play, leaving the existing ballast wired as is. However, the new LED bulb is 3/4" (about 2 cm) longer than the old CFL bulb, so while the old CFL bulb was slightly recessed behind the white plastic grill, the new LED bulb sticks out a bit. Also, the new LED bulb has the words "PULL TO REMOVE" and "DO NOT TWIST" engraved on its face. The new LED bulb appears brighter and warmer in color than the old CFL bulb. I've only used it for one day so far.

Fit perfectly. Nice soft light. Not intense like fluorescent and so many other LED lights

The shower light in my parent's house went out and when I realized it was one of the crazy dozen or so California CFL standards, I assumed I would have to have the entire can, fan, and ballast replaced with an LED fixture since CFL floods are not available anywhere anymore. I stumbled across this bulb and took a chance and it popped right in and worked great. Nice and bright and worked without any bypasses to the ballast or wiring. Hopefully it will last for a while.

I love the light and only purchased a few that I missed during my first count. I purchased through another company at a better price $13 each, but it took awhile to arrive. When I realized I was short a few, I bought on Amazon to get it faster to complete the job. They work really nice and much less expensive than paying an electrician to switch out all your lights in the house to LED. They are nice and flush as opposed to the swirly type bulbs.

Bought in October, 2021. Dead in March, 2022.It was easy to install. Light was acceptable (2700 kelvin). Bulb was installed in an indoor fixture with a ballast that was NOT bypassed.Warranty link in the Amazon just instructs you to contact the seller directly.Contacted customer service via email. Took a couple of weeks to get back to me only to say a customer service rep will contact me shortly. Well, guess what never happened. They did provide a phone number. I called several times. They were usually closed even mid-afternoon in California. The customer service greeting (only when they are open) mentions a web address for warranty claims.I wouldn't buy from them again mainly because of customer service. Any random bulb can fail but they should jump on it. Contrast this manufacturer with FEIT, whose bulbs fail constantly. FEIT is very prompt. One reviewer commented on the price. I paid $23 for it. I see now (4/2022) that the price has been reduced to around $17.I do look at ratings which are good for this bulb. I missed that there were only 11 ratings and just three actual reviews. I usually don't put much stock in a limited number of ratings and reviews but I missed it this time.I filed a warranty claim on their website April 12. Not optimistic about how fast the claim will be processed.Update: now it's 4/28. Still no response. Called customer service number. Sat on hold for about 17 minutes. At that point, the automated call routing system gave up and asked me to leave a message. Who does that? We'll see if anyone responds. They responded once to an email to customer service but not subsequent emails. Filed an online claim and got no confirmation nor response. Filed another one today.
