I personally love these things! The color coding idea for different calibers is a well thought idea! These work great in many applications from helping to remove lead fowling or copper.They saturate the barrel great for pre brushing the bore, then after running a jag down the barrel or to swab up dirty material after brushing the bore, as well putting a slight coat of oil after cleaning. Just an all around great product!

I'm a former marine so I like to think I know something about cleaning firearms. I normally start with a bore snake, followed by a foaming bore cleaner, Hoppe's soaked bore brush, a Hoppe's soaked cotton swab and than dry swabs till they come out the same white as them went in. I was a little surprised than when I followed all that up with one of these and it came out gray! A little scrubbing action and a clean one came back out clean. they clean up easily for reuse. I'll be using them from now on. I haven't tried using them to soak the barrel yet. I may try that soon though.

Excellent quality for the price. I’ve used these in several calibers so far with no issues and no defective swabs. Much easier that traditional methods and no exposed metal to damage your barrel or other gun parts.

Wish I had found these about 25 years ago,they work better than anything else I have ever used before even my old hopes cleaning goodys.These Swab-Its are washable and seem to be holding up very well.

Mixed feelings on this product. The tips are great. They clean, do not leave any fibers behind, and are reusable. Also, you can easily clean them. The down side is that they are cheaply made and fall apart; starting with the screw part that attaches to the rod. The screw part snaps off leaving the plastic screw end stuck in the rod. I had to drill/melt it out. ANNOYING. The tips break off from the screw part way too easy and they tend to disintegrate after a couple of uses.

These come in a package with a well chosen selection of calibers and they are very effective at cleaning. There are videos on YouTube showing how to effectively clean them to extend their useful life. Basically these videos recommend using an spray on gun cleaner to clean the foam.Be aware that they do have plastic threaded attachments so some care must be taken when threading them only your cleaning rod.

If you are very careful with these, they may last you a while. I tried 1 on a rifle, & because it is made of plastic, when I tried to push it through the barrell, it broke where it screwed into my rod. I used another one, & held it right near the tip to push through, & it was fine. Tried another, & the foam came off the tip. They are not worth the price.
