It’s been about a month or so and it’s working flawless in our bug zapper

Ordered this bulb when the one in our GOOTOP bug zapper failed. I searched bulbs on Amazon with same specs as the one we were replacing. This bulb msg h perfectively including the four pin plug-in base. It has been working perfectly.

My bug zapper light went out once and I realized I only needed to change the bulb and not throw the unit away. I find the bulb placement tricky but my son found it easy. Hey, I'm an old man. And I consider that a design flaw of the bug zapper not the bulb. Still beats buying a new bug zapper just because the bulb burns out.

Longer than the one we placed, but we made it work by making a spacer.

I bought these as annual replacements for my bug light bulbs in 3 lights. The worked perfectly and the bugs love them. It took a few minutes after first installing them for the true color to come out, so if they look like the color i slightly off, just wait a few minutes and their color will turn more violet. Will buy again.

I had a Hemiua bug zapper (15w) and the bulb died. I purchased THEIR 15w bulb that was supposed to be a replacement for that zapper BUT it was a fraction on an inch too long so the lid would not close because of the extra length. I had to return their bulb. I really didn't want to spend the coming weeks buying and returning bulbs so I purchased this 12w 5-pack instead as the bulbs are shorter and that would absolutely solve my problem. The pins are tight and the bulb is not loose at all like it was on the other hemiua replacement. If you have a 15w zapper, you can use a bulb with lower wattage. The wattage is the strength, brightness of the bulb which attracts the bugs and flies. The voltage of the grid on your zapper is what actually kills them so that does not change at all if you decide to get a different bulb. If you think you might get a stronger bulb than the original, just know that they are longer with increasing the wattage and shorter with decreasing the wattage. The bottom lid may not close if you increase the wattage/length of the bulb but also consider what the zapper is rated for. The pins on this bulb are tight and the bulb does not flop around at all but is shorter than the original (15w) bulb. The first day of having this bulb in, the color was uneven, kind of like it was flashing a bit. I don't know how else to really describe it, but the next day it is even, without flicker and killing flies. These were worth the chance because it is a 5 pack and even if 3 of the 5 were no good, the price would have been the same as just purchasing 2 bulbs. By my logic, I got 3 bulbs for free. I did not test all of the bulbs in the 5 pack. The first one I grabbed worked and it is back in the garage ready to kill. If it dies quickly, I will update this. The original bulb was on 24/7 and it lasted 8 months. I am hoping for a similar life expectancy with these. If not, I will update this.

All I can tell you is that the Chinese and Koreans must have some God awful bug lights. It's like "How little gas can we put in so it just barley glows blue" 2 for 2 on junk bulbs of this brand. I'll never by this brand again ever. Stick with the name brands like "Stinger" and don't settle for a Korean or Chinese replacement. Your just asking for trouble.
