  • Create picturesque, realistic habitat for crabs --- Hermit Crabs are uncomplicated pets to take care of. However, their well-being should not be taken for granted. The 3-piece Cholla Woods by SunGrow is the raw dried husk of the Cholla cactus. It has a soft texture and porous structure that allows you to create an original crabitat ambiance needed by your pets.
  • Excellent additional food source --- Hermit crab is an omnivore and scavenging are a typical way to look for food. They have plenty of options available in their original habitat to pursue this activity which accelerates their growth. Thus, to have this wood in their habitat is important. They love to chew on this wood. We bet your hermies would love this addition.
  • Perfect Climbing Accessories --- Hermit crabs don’t go around; they simply climb over almost anything. With their tiny legs and claws, they are perhaps the most versatile little climbers on the land. Now, get rid of those plastic or rubber climbing sticks. Set up Cholla Wood pieces to add height to their habitat and keep them entertained. They would love to climb and venture up and down on these logs making it their playground. You may even spot some naughty fellas’ taking a nap atop.
  • Provides a secure hideaway --- These little climbers are also great hiders and would bury themselves for many different reasons such as shedding, resting, cooling down or simply having fun with their “me time”. Comes in a pack of 3, you can arrange SunGrow Cholla Wood as you wish to make crevices or caves giving your pet areas to hide and rest. A Connectable Coco Tunnel Hut by SunGrow can help complement your crabitat for such activities.
  • Directions for usage ---. When you receive your order, make sure that you soak it in hot/boiling saltwater and sundry it before placing it into the tank. Once you have waterlogged them, arrange them beautifully, and maximize all the visual and functional benefits these woods can provide. Please note since it is a raw product, not each piece will have a similar girth, which further adds a hint of realism because your crabs won’t see the same logs thrice.

These pieces are old and I have been boiling, soaking and scrubbing but they are still fouling the water. At this rate I won't be able to add to my aquascape. Which is why I bought them.

I got a mix of varying widths which I am happy with. Shrimp in my community tank seem to prefer thicker pieces with smaller holes which I can't see inside. The product I received was clean, not caked in dirt like some reviews said; hopefully I wasn't just lucky. After boiling, several pieces turned dark, but I am told this is not an issue. This was the best price on amazon, although I found much cheaper on another website after making the purchase (shrug).

Within a few days, my hermit crabs had clawed through 1/4 of one of these. They really seem to like it, and I like that they have an activity! I would recommend these to anyone who has a hermit crab.

Nice sized pieces for the price. One was a bit small but is still great for the little guys. I boiled them as suggested and they were quite dirty. Make sure you do the same. Packaging was a plastic bag. Sufficient to keep the. Intact

Perfect little climbing pieces for my crab! Picture attached is of them just after being boiled, so the color is darker than pictured. I would recommend to boil these for anyone planning to purchase. They came pretty dirty, which is not a huge deal, as I planned to boil them anyway. I'm sure my crab will love them! Only a little disappointed that the price had dropped after I ordered, but not that big of a deal. Would recommend to anyone looking for some climbing toys for their little crabbies!

Two were very slim. But otherwise seem to be good quality. Soaked em and sunk em. Look good inside tank. Just on the smaller size.

These are a nice addition to my tank. Crabs like climbing on then. They were smaller than what I was thinking but cheaper than the pet stores.
