First, this thing is a beast. Definitely have someone help you mount it and give it a solid home; screws in studs, etc. I’ve had it powered up around the clock with a pair of 48V 100ah eg4 batteries and an Epever 40A mppt. The charge-verter function also works great and it’s saved us a few mornings when we had a smaller battery bank on cloudy days. I leave my Westinghouse 240V generator connected to the ac input. It has electric start but I still need to hook it up somehow; for now I use the remote start though I haven’t had to in a month or so. We beat the heck out of this thing. AC, microwave, toaster, hot water kettle…you’d think we weren’t using solar. I might see if the county will let us use this to our new home but not sure if they’ll accept UL “certified” vs “listed” — might post my experiences on YouTube. All in all, this is among my better Solar-related purchases!

I have four of these split-phase inverters and am very pleased. The inverter is a heavy beast but that's because the internal components are heavy duty and robust. There was a problem with a cooling fan broken during shipping but SGP was quick to send a replacement without hassle. Recommend using both legs for a 240v/6000w output as each leg is 120v/3000w. This handles high demand pumps and electrical without any hiccups. The features and settings for the inverter are flexible that can use grid power, then switch to battery, or it can autostart a generator when batteries are too low and it charges the batteries. It has power settings for idle load or no load standby that simply waits for a load demand. These do get hot, but I have other inverters and equipment that get hot also and recommend additional cooling in an enclosed room. I hope to have great updates while these inverters are run continuously over the coming years.

PROS:This inverter is nothing short of amazing. I have my entire small home running on this inverter. It’s worth noting everything is of the highest efficiency possible in my home. I accidentally turned off the main DC switch in the picture and the whole house went down. When I turned the switch back in the whole house came back on line with no problem including a freezer and frig. The low frequency transformer weights a ton but it is able to withstand huge current demands.I received the package in super reinforced packaging. However this thing is heavy and one of the terminal covers was smashed. I contacted customer service and they got right back to me and I had a complete replacement set within a week at no cost to me. You need to contact them via email but they get right back that night. Very friendly and helpful people there. This unit is identical to the IAMS 6000 watt inverter for a lot less money. They come in a variety of configurations. My Central Air and Furnace work fine with this unit. I have a separate breaker box which I have migrated my home too as I have scaled up my solar system.I use 4/0 cabling from the battery bank to the inverter and I’m running 2S14P (2 batteries in series and 14 of those in parallel) sealed lead acid batteries while I wait for the cost of LiFePo4 to come down in a couple years.CONS:If I could add a feature I would make the AC Auto transfer point adjustable. As it is you have two choices. 20v or 21v. With sealed lead acid I like to not let fall below 24.2v so I have to keep an eye on that and it’s it’s a cloudy day I’ll switch it to AC manually prior to dropping below 24vI would also move the display and control panel to the side. I like mounting mine on a flat surface as opposed to on a wall so I have a hard time seeing that area in my configuration. They can’t run in parallel with another exact inverter so you are stuck at 6000 watts which works fine for my small house (960 Square feet with shops in the basement so effectively double that)
