Not quite what I was looking for, and the edges on the lid are quite sharp. Otherwise they seem like fine budget bowls.

I took a chance despite these not having a ton of reviews and ordered these anyway, and they’re just what I was looking for. IKEA just discontinued the very similar metal food containers they used to sell. We prefer the metal ones to put in my kid’s lunch, so as to not have to worry about breaking glass when he inevitably tosses stuff around. Of course, these cost much more than the IKEA versions, but they are definitely nice and of high quality. Next time I go to H Mart, I’m going to see if they sell something similar at a better price.

The bowls are solid, and they keep my rice and soup warm. I have been using them for months, and they are still working great. My wife loves the look, but I love it's functionality. Totally worth the money.

I like the bowls that are light and look useful. However, the loose fitting covers that easily fall off, make them inappropriate as sensible food carriers. I do not only eat rice, and I dislike rice that falls out because the bowl covers are too loose.

I have other bowls costing 2-3 times as much (each) that do a better job but these are better than a non-insulated bowl. I use them for ice cream naturally and for dinner bowls. The sides and bottom do tend to warm up or cool down but the food stays reasonably hot/cold. The lids are not insulated. There is a ridge formed into the base that is big enough around to give the bowl some stability. It is not non-skid tho so the bowl will slide away as I fight for a spoonful of sticky ice cream, I have to hold on to it then. The size is perfect for ice cream but slightly small for a rice bowl with 1/2 cup of rice and some topping/sauce. I believe I will be shopping for another set that is maybe one fourth to one third again bigger.

I found these while I was on the hunt for the perfect bowls with lids for our travel trailer. Out camping, I’d attempted to serve my family a simple and quick breakfast of yogurt with granola to get us out for a morning hike along the river trail near our site when I realized our bowl options were huge (like good for an adult salad with dinner) or tiny (like good for the sweet or savory accouterments or various nuts components of our charcuterie); and that those options also lacked lids. The size and lids on these are perfect for this morning meal solution, as well as Asian rice bowls, meatballs in tomato sauce, noodles for lunch or dinner for our 6 year old, and much more. I realized I needed this kind of bowl after struggling with yellow jackets near our table in late summer. These also help me with quickly clearing and storing especially our daughter’s uneaten portion of a meal, for which she’ll be hungry again within the hour or two, which is a frequent problem. I like the way they stack too which was a critical factor for our teardrop travel trailer as well as our very small home kitchen. The material feels quality and substantial, with the double wall being terrific to keep food at or near temperature while not freezing or burning our little girl’s hands or ours. Because they are metal not plastic they clean easily and don’t stain; and because they are metal not glass like my home Pyrex bowls I don’t have to worry about them breaking while we drive down the road even bumpy forest roads while boondocking.

My son has a one-bowl rule in his home. He says if he makes a big pot of chili, and company stops in, they better bring their own bowl. He says it cuts down on dirty dishes, saves time, and discourages freeloading neighbors. Its a pretty simple concept. With only one pan and one bowl, if you want to eat again, you gotta wash them. No sink full of dirty dishes to dread.Seriously, though, these little bowls are awesome. It's not a Jethro bowl, so youre sorta forced to be portion conscious. The lid fits well, although, yes, it will leak if turned upside down, but it holds the heat in. Speaking of which, this bowl keeps your soup hotter than a pottery or glass bowl. Keeps your soup hot and your ice cream cold, what more could you ask?Ramen noodles fit perfectly in it (minus all that salty juice that I don't like anyway). Also, this is the perfect bowl if you're clumsy and tend to drop & break the "good" china. No, you can't microwave it, but that taco soup or Brunswick stew ain't gonna stain it. It's a good size for some good ol' homemade beans and a piece of cornbread.I've been so happy with this that I'm thinking I might upgrade all my dishes to stainless steel, but that kinda defeats the one bowl rule.
