Is this really a SRAM part?The original one that came with the bike worked for 4 years.This one did not even last 4 weeks.

I hit loose sand and clocked my old shifter on a rock. This popped right in and shifts as smooth as ever. I had the chance to upgrade but I don’t see the need for a shifter better than this one. This is reliable, consistent and feels good to shift.

I dropped my bike and bent the derailleur hanger, I found out I bent it because I went to shift down and stripped the plastic gears inside the unit. The is the second one I've had that has broken in the same way. When it was working, it worked fine. But all it takes is an out of tune derailleur and the strength of a child's thumb to break. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who drops their bike or crashes more than once a year. If you ride casually or are putting this on a gravel bike it's fine but I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone who's rowdy

Did not receive what was pictured or described. I do believe it's still 12 speeds, but it is not the discreet model. Also, the cable included was kinked, and the packaged was wrapped in cling wrap.

Turned up next day, boxed & brand new. Got instructions for brake fittings which seems to be the case with every SRAM eagle product I buy these days. I bought to upgrade from Eagle SX. But I still had the same issue of either the top end or the bottom gears jumping about. Turns out the bike shop that put my bike together made no effort to cut the chain to the exact size eagle drivetrain srequires. After shortening the chain by two links and readjusting the B tension screw to compensate with the SRAM guide it now works flawlessly.
