Don’t cheap out, can’t afford a name brand unit, just keep saving. Buying this unit is like giving $100’s of hard earned money to a stranger. I have had this unit for over a yr. It truly may have total of few hundred hours of being used. The unit is our guest cabin, where the kids come to stay when they visit. At first the unit worked as needed, it would even run power tools. But as the uses continued so did the error codes and all interrupted power. It would randomly just turn off, drained power rapidly when just sitting unless turned off. Then the solar controller would stop and throw 3 or four codes. Finally gave up and bought a Victon solar control charger and it worked flawlessly and was way more efficient. So I thought ok at least I have a working inverter and a/c charger- nope now the maximum draw is about 500 w before it shuts down and throws a code.It is convenient to buy an all in unit but as different parts fail you just can’t replace those pieces, save yourself a lot of frustration and money and save up and buy quality components

This thing is phenomenal. Install was a breeze because the instructions were very simple and easy to read. Setting up the unit was also extremely easy when following the instructions. I have the 3000w version and it powers everything in my off grid cabin while charging my batteries. There really isn’t much better value for a hybrid inverter than this.

This unit is excellent. Yes, you should go through all of the setup options to optimize your battery system. Just plug in the values provided by your battery supplier.Mine is a 24V Lithium system. I had been using a Renogy 30A charger (worked fine once I figured out the battery settings properly but no transfer function). I had a separate inverter which would "burp" when the Renogy disconnected the Batteries, causing intermittent disconnections. Renogy were unhelpful. I eventually switched to this system and am delighted. I run an external charger to the battery when on the road in Solar mode. This is very effective when the sky is overcast. Usually when I arrive at a campsite with a 120V connection, I switch to UTL mode from SLR, but the system is able to figure things out for itself. Personally, I am using this in USB mode when plugged in, but APL mode works just as well. The only negative comment I would add is that the company does not provide a screw for the inverter output ground. It seems to be a metric thread. I am looking for an equivalent screw, since I would like to have a system ground on the inverter output.Others have commented that the fans are a bit noisy. Over 1kW load results in the fans operating - and they are not particularly quiet. I may replace the OEM ones with super-quiet computer ones, but don't want to do that if it is going to mess with the warranty.

Works very well, the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that the settings are difficult to figure out. Maybe if this is not your first inverter you would have an easier time? There are 38 settings that have to work together to get it do what you want. Eventually I got it set and will probably not need to change anything for a long time. Overall a good value.
