I had to swap out the shifter/brakes on my trek to accommodate the brake levers for my e-bike kit. These are a huge downgrade. They do kinda work, but instead of a nice indexed shift, these make every shift a chore. As soon as I have the money I will get better ones, and toss these in the trash , where they belong. 4.5 stars, my ass.

These shifters are located on the top of your bar allowing you to place them with your existing brake levers. Easy to put on once you remove your grips and maybe your brake levers.

These are basic and affordable with decent functionality. My young riders have difficulty shifting with the twist grip shifters that are fairly common on new bicycles at the box stores. These are fairly easy to install without a lot of tools or knowledge. If you have a basic mechanical knowledge you will figure out fairly quickly how to install and adjust these shifters.My 6 year old daughter was much happier about riding her 20" mountain bike after I installed these shifters. They are not a long lasting investment, but they are usable at the price they are sold for.
