This is a 32A 500V DC-rated (not for use with AC) breaker in a light-duty outdoors plastic enclosure. The enclosure has a built-in DIN rail and the breaker opening through the top has two provisional 1/2 pole tabs (one at each side) that, if removed (not tested), would probably make room for 3 positions (2-pole + 1 pole) and a larger opening. The enclosure is plastic, and the top fits over the base with a grove that has no gasket. Disassembly is easy, and Installation should be easy enough--the conduit entries are removable and replaceable, YMMV with those provided.

60 Amp 500V DC/AC Miniature Circuit Breaker with Breaker Box IP65 Waterproof for Outdoor, RV, Solar Panel and Home':This solar panel disconnect switch appears to be a well-designed and robust solution for protecting solar panel systems and related equipment. Its waterproof enclosure, wide voltage range, and built-in circuit breaker make it a versatile option for various applications, from residential solar setups to RV and boat installations. However, potential buyers should carefully verify their specific voltage and amperage requirements to ensure compatibility.Pros: Comprehensive Protection: The primary benefit is the protection offered against over-voltage, overload, and short-circuits. This is crucial for preventing damage to solar panels, inverters, and other components, as well as mitigating fire hazards.* Versatile Voltage Range: The ability to handle both DC (12-500V) and AC (90-500V) is a major plus. This broad range makes it suitable for a wide range of solar panel configurations and inverter types. The 'no polarity' design for DC simplifies installation.* Waterproof and Durable: The IP65 waterproof rating and the use of PC+ABS material for the enclosure indicate a product built to withstand outdoor conditions, including rain, dust, and UV exposure. This is essential for longevity and reliable performance.* Suitable for Various Applications: The product is explicitly marketed for on-grid and off-grid solar systems, RVs, boats, and outdoor photovoltaic and wind energy applications, highlighting its versatility.* M25 Waterproof Connectors: The inclusion of M25 two-hole waterproof connectors with cable size recommendations (3~8mm, 12~5AWG) shows attention to detail and simplifies the process of creating secure and waterproof connections.* Flame Retardant Materials: Using highly flame retardant PC+ABS materials is a critical safety feature, adding an extra layer of protection in case of electrical faults.Cons:* 60 A Rating: The 60A rating might be overkill for some smaller solar panel systems. Users need to calculate their maximum current draw to ensure it's appropriate. It's essential to understand the system's needs to avoid unnecessary expense.* Clarity on Internal Wiring: The description could be more explicit about the presence and type of internal wiring within the breaker box. Images of the inside of the box would be a significant benefit to potential buyers.* Installation Instructions: The description doesn't mention the inclusion of installation instructions. Clear and concise instructions are crucial for safe and effective installation, especially for users with limited electrical experience.Who is this for:* DIY solar enthusiasts setting up or upgrading their systems. Check!* RV and boat owners looking to install or protect their solar power setups. Check!* Homeowners with solar panel systems seeking a reliable disconnect switch.* Anyone needing a weatherproof, robust circuit breaker box for DC/AC applications within the specified voltage and amperage ranges. Check!Recommendations:* Verify Compatibility: Before purchasing, carefully calculate the maximum current of your solar panel system and ensure that the 60A rating is appropriate.I mounted my breakers on a piece of 5/8" sheetrock. Just in case. Without testing these breakers, I assume they work as designed so in that regard, I am giving this a 5 star rating. It is a clean looking product with a nice design

I'm reviewing the 40A/500V version of this breaker. Despite the comical diction and grammar in the instruction booklet, the DC breaker assembly is a well-made, easy to use necessity in DC-coupled solar installations. I got this one to insert in the backhaul wiring that carries power from the smaller solar panel array in my system back to the inverter, the theoretical peak current from which is 37 A at 320 Vdc for additional protection from lightning, shorts, or overcurrent situations and as a quick disconnect so I can work on this array without taking my other ones out of generation. It's just cheap insurance considering the price of my inverter and batteries. The housing is substantial and seems qualified for outdoor installation, though I would try to give it some protection from direct rain contact as the transparent lid doesn't have a weather seal. The strain reliefs are well-sealed with holes for both conductors that worked well with my 6 AWG wire.I tested this in a simple DC circuit in which I am able to generate currents up to 100 A and 500V with good results. The breaker reliably opened at 38.7 A and offered good protection against shorts by opening within 70ms. The tests produced no apparent damage, and I've installed it now in my system. I've only had it a few days so I can't speak to its durability or longevity yet, but my initial impression is that it's a good product and reasonably priced. I will come back in 6 months or so and update this with more real-world observations.
