Tested this for several months on a basic "window" solar system with 4 small panels at a total of about 6 amps max output. Used 2 LiFePO4 batts in parallel at 12v, 50 Amp hr. The menu system is kinda crowded visually, and the display could be a bit simpler, but that may just be personal preference. Since the shell is plastic and only the bottom metal (steel), I have some concern about heat dissipation, so I drilled a few small holes in the plastic side opposite the terminals. I would also recommend putting spacers (I used nuts to add about 1/8") under it on the screw mounts to add space between the metal bottom plate and the mounting surface to allow for air flow for heat dissipation under the unit.

Unit works great after you learn the programming. It would be nice if the display had more basic perimeters on one screen, however by scrolling thru the screens, you can find the perimeter you need. Programming is somewhat complicated for Li batteries but doable with patience. The unit does do well and will equalize Lead acid batteries after the forth charge. This is not for someone that has difficulty programming if using with lithium batteries. That is the reason for 4 stars. One plus it does have a dawn dusk setting if you need it for lighting ( Provided you have a window as it don't seem to be weather resistant). Overall a good unit and does a great job charging. Plus has a lot of perimeters which may be customized for your application.

Buyer bewareThey want you to scan the Q code to use cell phone to setup and get into menu for set up and adjusting controller. You have to put in credit card number and info. They claim they are not going to charge your account but they do charge your account 34 plus dollars. The charged got flagged and denied. Then it was a problem getting card activated again, Whould not advise you to purchase one,

I have ordered quite a few cheap, non brand name solar charge controllers like this one. I have been happy with them all, and this is no exception. I use these a lot when I build my portable power stations. This unit isn't being used for a power station, though. I got this to use with my portable surroind sound sysyem I am building. I have a projector and a huge blow-up screen. I host a lot of movie nights in my yard. I was using a Bluetooth PA speaker, but something was missing. I needed surround sound. I picked up a 4 channel boat stereo, outdoor speaker, a subwoofer, 2 x 12v batteries, and this charge controller. This controller will allow me to use a solar panel to charge the 2 12v batteries. I have tried and tested my portable surround sound system, and it works great. I am now just waiting for the rolling toolbox to arrive so I can finish the build. This charge controller works great for my needs. I like that it has the USB ports to charge other devices or power my firestick during movie nights. This has a nice, easy to read screen like my others. It has a lot of the same functions as my others, like the timer mode and light mode. I am using these with Lifepo4 batteries. I like that they were honest in the title. Other companies with similar controllers claim to be MPPT, but this one states that it is pwm. I read another reviewer who was saying he noticed a parasitic drain. I haven't noticed this. If there is, it is very minimal. I will come back and update my review with some pictures once I have my system complete.

I'm using this on a shipping container to charge a 12v battery that runs 2 small fans as well as 6 LED lights. So far it's done great once I got everything setup. There were no instructions included, but the information provided on the unit is more than adequate for my simple setup.Display also provides a good amount of data about the condition of the system. This has a lot of features found on more advanced/expensive controllers at a budget price that fit my needs perfectly.Great product for the price!

This 20A Solar Charge Controller with LCD display works well once you get it set up, but I did find the programming a bit complicated and the directions were only partially useful. The display is clear, and it offers a lot of customization options, which is great once you figure it out. I used it with my (very small) solar setup, and itโs been effective for managing power and keeping everything running smoothly. The unit is durable, but the setup could definitely be more user-friendly, which is why Iโm giving it 4 stars.
