You get what you pay for here. Pretty light weight and worthless for protection but my sons were looking for the lightest guards they could legally play in. For that, they worked fine for a low price.

These are good little shin guards for little kids. They are not large, and they are not thick, but for a small kid, they will work well. This is the type that has a strap that goes around the back (hook and loop) but do not have a part that goes under the foot to hold it in place. You need to use long socks to hold this in place, but that's pretty much par for the course.When they were new, they had quite a strong chemical smell, but it dissipates over time.Not heavy-duty by any means, but they work.

Picked these up for the 9yo who has been playing for a few years now. She did not want the type with the elastic that she puts her foot through. This set has elastic straps and will require either sleeve socks to go over, or to be placed on the bare skin. The padding on the back is good, so that is an option. They feel pretty sturdy and she says they are comfortable to wear for and hour plus at a time. Set comes in a 2-pack, so we have extras to keep in the car for practice or when she forgets one. Overall, very happy.

My sons both play soccer and go through shin guard's quickly. They both like the light weight, color and fit of the shin guard. It’s not the best quality but for as often as we go through them I just bought 3 packages. Very comparable to the “name brand” ones.

These are easy to put on and remove. Way better than the last pair we bought our 4 year old.
