SmallRig Cage for Atomos Ninja V/Ninja V+ 2209 was co-designed to provide an additional protective exo-skeleton for the monitor, with a wide range of industry standard mount points.
Multiple Screw Holes
The cage mounts to the monitor by a 1/4’’-20 screw on the top and two M3 screws on the left side. Across the top and bottom the cage features multiple 1/4’’-20, 3/8’’-16 holes, and a locating mount point for ARRI on the base.
Co-designed with Atomos
SMALLRIG Cage for Ninja V/Ninja V+ 2209 was co-designed with Atomos to provide an additional protective exo-skeleton for the monitor, with a wide range of industry standard mount points. It doesn't block the battery, the SSD and to accommodates the Atomos Ninja V Sunhood frame.
Built-in NATO Rail
NATO rails are also provided along on both top and bottom to allow use with a range of SMALLRIG mounts such as SMALLRIG Ball Head Magic Arm 2071 or the 2072 for quick release.
With HDMI Clamp 1693
The cage includes a HDMI cable clamp that works with a range of cables and is ideal for the AtomFlex 4k 60p cables. If required, the cage supports the use of a second HDMI Cable Clamp 1693 for the HDMI output. It is attached on the left to protect the HDMI cable and port.
Anti-shedding
For backwards compatibility with Atomos Master Caddy II, the cage also features Drive locks that incorporate the additional size of standard 2.5’’ drives into the cage’s form factor. It features raised attachment points on both the top and bottom of the cage for use with neck straps.

1.This cage is COMPATIBLE with the original Atomos Ninja V Sun hood.

I don’t know what monitor this hood was designed for, but it sure didn’t fit mine. I even tried to use tape to stick it to my monitor that didn’t work. I ended up buying a more expensive one from the makers of the monitor. I would not recommend this monitor hood.

I’m rating 3 stars for lack of instructions and faulty quality control. I have purchased 2 products.One resulted in stripped screws for the hdd caddy, the other was a flawless install with perfect threading tolerance.I have spent at least 1k usd on small rig products and this is the first time I have seen flaws like this.I will update my review if I can find replacement screws/unit instead of having to return the unit.**updated

Love this cage and it fits the monitor perfectly making my rig feel a lot more secure overall without adding lots of bulk. Looks great too!

This cage is nicely made. It mounts to the recorder from the top and side. It also comes with a cable clamp to hold your HDMI input cable in place and protect it from getting damaged. The cage is too expensive though.

The cage is well made and fits the Ninja V perfectly. You receive all of the screws and allen wrenches required.The only problem was there were no instructions in the box. For instance you recieve six screws but you only need three of them. Without instructions you wouldn't know that.I had to refer to a YouTube video for the proper installation. A minor bump in the road but one that could have been solved with a 3 x 5 installation card.Overall, I still rate the seller and the product with five stars. Both are that good.

Great fit and attachment to Atomos Ninja V . The product is very well made . I think the tabs designed to help hold in the full lenght SSd could hold a little firmer .

Fits like a glove - embracing the tender Ninja V like a hard cover for a hard world... unfortunately the ad is a little mid-leading because it looks like it comes with the (greyed-out?) lens hood for outdoor shooting... it doesn’t (or it was left out of the package) but I’m using the Ninja indoors so I’m gonna ignore that...

Everyone knows how much an Atomos Ninja V add to your rig. I use the monitor to nail focus.Spend the money and get the small rig mounts. I have a Small rig monitor mount that rotates and tilts. I just bought a Small rig magic arm with one side being Nato.Worth the protection for your monitor. The hdmi clamp has already saved my Atomos once.Yes it is expensive but nothing else comes close to it.If you are on the fence, do it.
