This XXSmall size was purchased for a 7 lb Min Pin/Chihuahua cross with a measured 10.5" back length, so a very small, thin but muscular and active dog who loves his walks. Note his back length was at the upper limit for what is recommended for this poncho size. After using the adjustments built into the poncho, the fit was nearly perfect as obtained: we did shorten the elastic straps that go around the rear legs and secure the rear of the poncho. This is definitely an expensive raincoat, but what you get for your money is a lot of thought that went into the design, and all those adjustments. This was at least the fifth raincoat we tried. For our dog, this was the first to fit him decently, and that didn't have deal-breaker problems that he wouldn't tolerate.Things we liked:- all those adjustments, which at least for his size and build, could be used to find a good fit. I'm sure other raincoats work better for other little dogs, but this works really well for him.- the rain visor is the first that keeps his head dry but sits just right so he can see out. Before this one, it was either his head, neck (he has a long neck), and front of his sweater got soaked, or there was a visor or hood that blocked his vision to just the immediate front, and that he would not tolerate.- it has the right trade-off for rain protection of the chest and belly. Honestly, there isn't much to that protection: this is mostly a tent over the dog protecting his top and sides, with a small fabric chest piece for the underside. But that makes it easy to get on. He doesn't love putting his poncho on like he does his sweaters, but he does accept it. It also doesn't have elastic leggings or fabric surfaces that rub against each other and make noise, both of which he hated.Tradeoffs:- it's one of the more expensive ponchos or raincoats, almost double the cost of the next most expensive ones we tried. But I can see where the money went, and feel it was worth it.- This is as good as gets, but what is that? Instead of a 30-50 minute walk, he'll do 15-25 minutes on days when it's raining, but not too hard, and as long as it's not too chilly. But that's better than being stuck inside for days on end in the PNW. And with those weather conditions, that's probably as long as walks should be anyway.

This is legit top-quality material. Haven't had much chance to use it yet, but I imagine it'll last a very long time. I tested water repellency with the kitchen faucet, and the water just rolled off.The size and fit are as expected, although it's a little more billowy than I thought. But that's what makes it effective.My boy Jake, however, truly hates it. :( Too bad, because he looks so darn cute in it! We'll do some positive-reinforcement conditioning to it, and hopefully he'll learn to at least tolerate it.

I love this raincoat on my Labradoodle! It fits him perfectly. I will make only one modification. I will cut a slit in the front and attach his leash to the front of his harness there.

This is the best poncho we could find for our dog, great design, light soft fabric, good coverage, specially the neck and head can be covered nicely without getting wet, easy to put on, it is better to refer to the back length rather than the weight. The large is a good fit for my beagle dog who has big chest 28", 35lbs and back length 20", have to return the small for medium for my mini poodle puppy, who has regular chest 19", is 16lbs now with back length16", wish to give a little more room for her to grow in. They will have fun playing outside in the rainy day with this poncho on. Would definitely recommend it.

For the price, I was hesitant to try it at first to be honest, but I'm so glad I did. As an owner of a pug dog, I have tried many different rain jackets on Amazon but my dog’s breed naturally has a bigger chest and shorter back length which is more difficult to fit. The WOOFO rain poncho comes with multiple adjustment points so fit my dog perfectly!I also love that it literally takes you seconds to put it on or take it off. This is especially helpful when I'm in a rush and need to get my dog ready quickly. It's also great for my dog, as it means that he doesn't have to spend too much time standing in the rain while I struggle to put his poncho on.If you're on the fence about trying it, I say go for it!
