Nice fat rubber that will provide a good seal. Had a loss of cooling fluid end of season and could not find the leak. Turns out the seal had deteriorated and allowed the higher pressure of the closed system to leak into the heat exchanger chambers where seawater/freshwater cells the small pipes. problem solved!

Fairly thick seal plates for the ends of your Merceuiser 496 mag heat exchanger. Worked great for me, seems thick and strong with fiber reinforcement woven in. No leaks.
