I received my Shure 55 Super just the other day along with the boom mic stand , a couple of attachments and the XLR cable (20 ft. BTW). Anyway, I’m here today to tell you don’t bother with other mics if you like this retro style. Don’t be fooled by other companies who claim to make its equivalent, they don’t. If you Have the money go for it, do it, pull the trigger I promise you, you won’t regret it. Not one dollar. Don’t believe me. Go on YouTube and look up how a Shure 55 Super handled being run over by a Chevy Tahoe! It was completely crushed but the dang thing still was working! That should tell you everything you need to know about the quality you’ll find at Shure. An American made microphone! The boom stand and the XLR cable was just gravy on top. Ok I’ve said all I need to say and possibly a bit more.

Excellent bundle and microphone. Works perfect for my podcast ventures. I just wish the mic extender was included that's infamously needed for the shure 55 deluxe.

You get what you pay for. The Shure 55 microphone has a crisp sound quality. Wouldn't use anything else.

Nice sound, but not amazing. Super cardioid cuts background down a ton. Get a cloudlifter with it if you buy it, weak weak signal, even my scarlett preamp can't boost the signal very well. Has a big frequency cliff at around 10k, so it's really best for voiceover work and singing, not instruments.
