I have older mtn bike w cantaliver and u brake. U can change the position to set the cable to improve the leverage for okder brakes

had these on a while now, good adjustability, good shimano quality, look good the colour is sort of dark green which is a bit strange but I'm not fussed what colour they are anyway

Once the correct leverage is selected on the cable pull they can lock the rear wheel on my now converted road bike. If left in the wrong position , brakes will be half as effective.Be sure to adjust the correct leverage before mounting, otherwise slight disassembly is needed to loosen the cable again.Plastic cable adjusters have some stiction, as all plastic parts like this do, making adjusting slightly stiff.

I just installed on my flat bar road bike I did the conversion from drop bar to flat bar works great!!

They work great, nothing super fancy but I was tired of my road drop bars and wanted flat bars after riding another flat bar road bike and they work great for the conversion. My only problem is the threads seem to not be cut well and when you tighten them down to your bars the head of the screw grinds off metal. So they can't be swapped too many times or you might run into issues.

perfect for my flat bar conversion on my 99 cannondale. smooth lever operation, cables and housings are smooth. instructions are minimal, but there is a screw on the bottom to flip the pull leverage for a road caliper. it come set for v brake, it'll work, but it'll work better if you flip it.
