If you have Avid Elixir 1, 3 5 or whatever from Avid, these replace the top clamp and allow you to get rid of shifter clamp. They are great.

Después de perder el tiempo intentando reparar la pieza rota h pensado que podia ser que podia ser que estuviese a la venta. Así ha sido, y he solucionado el problema perfectamente por muy poco dinero. Lo que no entiendo es porqué en el título de esta pieza pone ESTERILLA. Crea confusión y no sabes si estás comprando las piezas de la imagen u otra cosa

Ordered these to combine my Avid Juicy SLs and SRAM X-9 shifters. Construction is robust and installation was a snap. Significantly cleaned up the look of my handlebar, letting me see the nice carbon bar underneath. A performance upgrade? Not really, but if you just want a nice, clean look, these deliver.

One of the clamps broke off when I put my bike in the back of a VW golf. This was on my first ride. No crashes, no impacts, just the padded back seat of a car. Why did this happen? The clamps are sculpted away to lower weight and to look cool I guess. Combine that design with the inferior materials used to make this product, and you end up with a weak clamp- so weak that when you pull on a derailleur cable the metal just snaps. Can Avid or SRAM do better? Of course. Just look at the Matchmaker X- which serves the same purpose, but has a much stronger design and is made of aluminum, not pot metal. However, that clamp only supports XX and Elixir CR Mag levers. If you have any other type of Avid brake, you are stuck with this, you might as well flush your 20 dollars down the toilet. Save your money and stay away from this product till they redesign it!UPDATE: Avid replaced the clamps, and the replacement set is much more robust. It has been going strong for 8 months now. I changed my review to 4 stars because I think they solved the problem.
