After a couple misfires I found a spoke guard made for my Shimano FH-RS470 hub. The descriptions don't tell you this: These spoke guards have three or four tabs that lock them to the hub, and you choose depending on how many spokes you have. When you see 32H or 36H I believe H stands for holes but it indicates how many spokes connect to the hub. In this case 32H means there are 32 spokes which was right for my wheel. Looking at the Shimano manual this should also work with the FH-R7070

Quality construction, diameter of contacts too small to snap onto the hub. One broke off while trying to install so I had to make a custom affix.

The 4 hood design did NOT fit the standard spoke setup at all. I'm a certified bicycle mechanic and have completely rebuilt an engine from main bearings up. I am a very competent mechanic. This product did not fit without significant modifications. This was the part recommended to me.

Fit perfectly on my Shimano STX RC hub FH-MC33 which is a 7-speed 32-spoke cassette hub from the 1990. I thought for sure that I'd snap one of the 4 little tabs that connect the plastic protector onto the hub, but lucky me, I didn't.Great product but $11+ seems pricey for what is essentially a piece of plastic.

I have a Trek 970 that the spoke protector was cracked and rattling around. I wanted to service the rear wheel anyway, and this spoke protector seemed to be an exact replacement. It works really well and snapped right on. I try to keep my bike from looking like a garage sale thrasher. I wanted the dork ring, maybe I'm just picky but I wanted this thing and I'm glad I took the time to put it on. I think the one is probably better than my original

This was something I added to the bike. It fit as it should. Does what I wanted. I don't know why it was note on my new bike to begin with.
