Perfect comforter insert. I use it without a duvet cover but it would work great in a duvet cover. Very light weight. Extremely soft. Perfect for any season.

While this comforter is soft, it is not very thick. I expected it to be a little fluffier and more cozy.It's still a decent comforter for the price though.

The comforter came vacuum packed but quickly puffed up when I opened the package. It spread out well and I am sure the wrinkles will fade. I was surprised that its tag said it was dry clean only. The description on the website said “Do not dry in the drum washing machine, do not bleach, support dry cleaning”. I am hoping I can wash it in my machine and line dry.

The size is listed on the packaging as both 90x90 and 88x90, but those couple of inches really wouldn’t make a difference anyway.It’s important to note that even though this is described as a comforter, it’s a plain white duvet insert. It’s not a decorative comforter, and (particularly because it’s dry clean only), it will need an outer cover. You can easily purchase queen-size duvet covers, and enjoy choosing a design that will match your décor. That way, you won’t need to launder this duvet too frequently; you can just remove the outer cover and wash that instead, leaving the insert to be washed less frequently. Note that this is the way European bedding works. You can use a (fitted) bottom sheet, and it’s your choice whether or not to use a flat top sheet too, but many people in the UK and Europe don’t bother with a flat sheet, and just use fitted sheet, and then a duvet (insert plus cover) on top. The cover helps to keep the insert clean.This is a fairly lightweight duvet insert, but is soft and warm enough to cope with all seasons and climates. In the winter, you might need to use a blanket on top if you’re cold at night. The quality of the stitching is good, it’s nice and puffy, and the fabric is soft, and not cheap-feeling. It puffs up nicely when it’s removed from the packaging, and there’s no “chemical” smell when it comes out of the bag.I’m very happy with this duvet. It’s good quality, and excellent value for money. I’m happy to recommend it.
