The quality of the rack is great! They send out two real 13m wrenches so you can assemble instead of those skinny one you normally get. This made putting it together easier.

First, the picture is deceiving because you cannot stack two kayaks on one sode. Period the entire point of a free standing one was to not need to mount it to a wall…..Second, the hardware is not labelled correctly making it difficult to assemble right the first time.Third. The cross brace is very flimsy … I think the first strong wind my kayaks will be on the ground….Pay more and get what you pay for…

I set the Saris kayak storage rack up in my garage to save space and it is perfect! We have a 14’ and 12’ Jackson kayaks that balance on this rack nicely. I love the padding on the arm rests to hold the kayaks. The padding is nice and thick. It also has a hook to hold the paddles. The rack is adjustable which helps get the kayaks separated where they don’t rest on each other and cause scratches. The rack is made of a thick metal that is extremely durable. On the bottom is a latch that can be screwed into to floor if needed. I do not see a reason to screw this into the floor because the rack is well balanced and not tipsy at all!

I currently have a Malone 3 kayak rack. My collection is growing, so I had to order another rack. The Malone rack was just about $220, and it is rock solid. The three kaykas I have on there are just over 200 lbs. This is standing on a paved driveway, and there is zero movement under the heaviest of winds. Now, this double rack is not as sturdy as the Malone rack. Once the kayaks are on there, it does feel a little more stable, but there is still a little wobble. Also, the kayaks lay at a funny angle on the arms. In the end, I guess this doesn't really matter as long as the kayak is at an agle so it doens't collect water. I do like the fact that the height of the arms can be adjusted to better accommodate a wider kayak at the bottom, which I cannot do with the Malone. All in all, this is a fully functional double kayak rack. The price is not too bad, either.

It didn't take too long to put together. The thickness of the tubing is pretty thick. As a rack, it is very stable. It adjusts to create greater distance between the two holders/rack. This allows you to hold two SUPs or two kayaks, or a combo of the two. There is a convenient rear rack to hold paddles. The protective padding on the hooks keeps your kayaks from getting scratched. The rack is easily moved around by two people. So it is easy to put away if you have a winter season. It also comes with deck mounts to better secure the base. This is really a convenient way to store fun water toys and makes them convenient to access. The rack is nice quality and looks great.

The rack took quite some time to assemble, mostly because it is kind of wonky. Some welded parts fell off while assembling, which is troubling. He was able to assemble it nevertheless, and it kind of stand ok and does hold the two kayaks pretty well for now. Given the bad weld job, I do not expect it to last long, especially not outdoors, but we will see.

This rack turned out real nice. Super easy to build even if the instructions don't necessarily show things well.I wish the paint was a bit better. The metal is soft and over tightening is easy to do causing some flaking and deformation. I suspect this will rust easy so I took it upon myself to spray the areas in which the paint chipped or may chip. The end caps are not sealed well either. The entire structure is steel of some sort as it is magnetic so you may want to take action to make it last long.Overall it is a good product and I would recommend. Especially if it goes on sale.

Up until now we've had two kayaks sitting on the floor in our boathouse. This rack gives us the option of either storing them on this rack in the boathouse in the winter, or moving the rack under our raised deck in the summer, and thereby freeing up space in the boathouse. It was easy to assemble, and it's fairly easy to move around. But it's stable enough so that it won't fall over easily if bumped in to. I like the design, versus hangers on the wall or suspended from the ceiling. Overall, this is a pretty good design and more versatile.
