I am a diehard Shure SM58 from my band experiences years ago. In support of my starting their podcast I decided to get these mics first instead of spending big money on Shures or another brand. Surprisingly, these are REALLY good mics. I would not compare them to SM58's but for an entry level mic this is a very good mic.

This mic has been great. Especially for the money. I added a pop filter and it sounds better than my ~$200 headset.

I have a little garage band my friends and I started and I've used this mic mostly just during rehearsal (the few gigs we've played always supplied their own mics) and it's worked quite well for what I need. my biggest complaint is that the screws for the switch would often come loose and so I frequently found myself having to fix that until I eventually just superglued it in place. The mic still functioned well and it feels pretty solid in your hand.

I've probably gotten 2 dozen of these. Some were DOA but most sounded fine most of the time. Every once in a while one will sound bad. It's an SM58 knock off. It's not as good as an SM58 but I'd rather have it than a PG58. For the money I buy them and whenver somebody needs to borrow a microphone, here you go. Your band is short a microphone, here you go. I like your show, keep it. Kids need a microphone, here you go. Don't expect a Beta 87 or even a Q7 or E 835. It's a cheap microphone. Most are ok. If you have a good sound system they'll sound fine. If you have a bad sound system these will make it sound worse. These sound a little cleaner than other cheap microphones but also a little thinner and weaker. If you know you don't have money try these the pyle, nady and behringer cheap microphones. One will sound better with your system. I carry them all because I go to different venues. If you had money you'd have brought SM58. I have have better microphones. I still use this one to do what it does and to be risked where I don't want to lose the costlier ones. I buy the mic clip and use the mic.

The supposedly 'good as new' Samson R21S Microphone's relatively thin chord has a short in it. The audio cuts off and on everytime you move the mike. I tried to return it 19 days after I bought it, but unfortunately Amazon's advertised (at least to my knowledge) 30-day return policy is trumped by Beach Bum's limited 14 day return policy. So I am stuck w/ a microphone that worked for only a few seconds.

Great product and price. Was ver y pleasantly surprised when this item arrived. Was not expecting much because it was pretty cheap, but it is a very good quality microphone, very pleased!
