I have no idea how to install the flag properly because the instructions don't match the flag. Even the flag parts don't match the instructions. Otherwise, the mailbox looks solid. The instructions show a metal (not painted) bracket but I have two red discs, 2 rubber circular discs and 2 clear round plastic discs with no instructions.

put alot of effort into putting it in, then realized the latch doesn't work. because house was being renovated I wasn't able to use it and missed the 30 day return window. out of luck with amazon and of course there is no way to communicate with the overseas "manufacturer" so I have to junk it.Live and learn. Ouch.

Our old mailbox had seen better days! Had it since we built the house. First the door fell off and birds started making a nest, then the flag fell off. That was the last straw. It's perfect, easy to install, comes with plenty of numbers. I know my mail carrier is happy.
