I debated on the light weight. For me it was a bit heavy to use free-hand. You have to bear down to get that &*(( safety to properly depress so that the stapler will fire. But if you can get the safety gizmo to press it does a great job of firing the staples. I was happy with how well it did drive the ones I was shooting. I was working on cat furniture shooting jute rope and carpet into western lodge pole pine and once I cranked up the dial I was getting good shots. Work came out looking really good. The test cats approved.

This item must be an import because Ryobi will not register the guarantee in UK. This should have been highlighted by the seller

I didn’t like the fact that I waited for it and it did not work and a hassle to return.

Ryobi, though often considered less efficient and durable cordless tools than the big name tools like Mikita, Bosch, Milwaukee etc, has IMO just as good and durable tools as well engineered and effective as any cordless tool platform out there at a lower price and with higher cross tool compatibility. Ryobi has a huge inventory of cordless tools as well. No playing around with cosmetic, minimally effective 18v to 20v platform changes that cause a whole line of tools into obsolescence. This narrow crown stapler is no exception to the rule lots of punch, adjustability, and ease of use.

I worked 45 years in construction, and I have used air powered nailers for most of that time. I still have a dozen air nailers in the shop, but when I need to repair or build some little project, I pull out this little nailer. It's quick, easy, and light weight. I wouldn't build a house with it, but for many projects, it is perfect.

OK ladies, this is a great staple gun BUT, it's heavy, 1st time you pick this up you may want to not use it BUT, it takes time to get use to the weight and understand you need breaks between using this. I purchased this to recover some chairs and it has worked GREAT, again heavy but, YES I would purchase again and because I loved it so much I purchased the Air Strike nail gun. Not using it yet but, I think it will work as well as the stapler. Purchase lots of staples you will use more than you think. I'm a BIG fan of Ryobi battery tools, they are just what a single lady needs to get small jobs done without trying to find a handyman to do it for you. I use the 18v 4.0 AH high capacity battery.

Never drove a single staple. Full battery, unit tries to actuate - but the drive pin isn't moving. I even gave it a couple drops of oil and set it on it's back for awhile to see if that would loosen it up. No dice. This and the Ryobi brad nailer have ton's of videos and comments online for this failure mode, but it's usually after they've been used and debris and corrosion build up. I've purchased a few Ryobi tools for the things i don't abuse too much, but this was my final Ryobi buy. Buy cheap, buy twice.

I could go on about all the details, but it's not really necessary. It does what it's supposed to do, and it does it well. No jams, no "weird" anything. Pull the trigger, bang! Staple there. do it again. Bang, Staple there. and so on. Plenty of power for any wood I've encountered, including white oak shooting 1 1/2" staples with no issues. Once every couple weeks it won't drive one quite home. NEVER have I been able to finish it with a hammer, whatever is stopping it is exceeding the strength of the staple, and the gun knows to stop rather than to proceed with brute force. I carry a pair of heavy duty side cutters and clip off or pull (usually not) the bad staple. This is a 1 in 1000 at worst, is not staple type or brand dependent, and it's the only "issue" I've seen.Settings are stable, predictable and repeatable. Batteries last great, Ryobi or Copies. It feeds all staples I've used reliably. Cold weather or hot. I've used it on my beehives and it performs all assembly jobs from comb frames to box assembly with precision and power. Turned down with 1/2" staples, it shingles and flashes hive roofs. It installs swarm traps into trees out standing up on a 4 wheeler in the woods, and puts up my posted signs. (try those operations with a hammer and nails!)Love this tool! The 15 gauge finish nailer is next on the list. Wish they made an Airstrike framing nailer to replace my big Bostick coil cannon shooting 4" headed spikes, I've got no doubt the Airstrike system has the potential for that kind of power, but is the demand there? I would buy one over a Paslode or anything else I've seen.WHAT A GREAT TOOL!!!

When it works it works well. My fires but does not actually push a staple out when cold, less than 50 degrees F. If I fire it several times then it will start working.
