These used to be good but now they must be made somewhere else or by another company. First cup of tea and the float filled with water and sank.

Although the size is great, the top filled with liquid and sank. It isn't designed to take apart. A waste of money.

I usually use this for seasoning in my soups (no one wants a bay leaf in their bowl). It is sturdy, floats well and nothing leaks out through the holes because they're small. Great product.

I make my own iced spice tea, a gallon at a time, and I needed something to hold a piece of cinnamon stick and some whole cloves while the tea steeped. This unit fits the bill perfectly. It's easy to get the cloves in and out of the wide top; the top stays secure and keeps the unit floating; and the mesh is small enough to keep little particles out of my tea, yet porous enough to let the water flow through for a good steeping. I even like the little cup to park the unit without dripping on everything.

This is a must have for those who like loose tea. It floats in the cup and it has a container to catch the drips that inevitably emerge from tea balls or other tea infusers. It is affordable and useful.

This is a great infuser, as far as infusers go. The problem with infusers (IMHO), is that they are never big enough to hold enough tea. This one is no exception. The whole unit is pretty good sized, but the cage for the tea is pretty standard. If you over fill it, the tea gets pretty packed and doesn't infuse properly. If you use a very small amount of tea and just steep it longer, you'll end up with a perfect cup of tea. And the infuser fits perfectly in its own little caddy that keeps messy leaks from happening. The thing that makes it fun is that you can use it as a toy top in your tea. I know. Kind of silly, but I can never resist spinning a top when I see one.

I love this for simple cup of tea. I can save money buying bulk healthier tea. It is simple to put a teaspoon of tea leaves into the base and screw on the top. When the tea is at your preferred strength, it rests neatly in its own little pot. ...lol.. now for a matching little service bell...lol... Yeah, it feels that nice.

THIS TEA-BALL IS VERY SLIGHTLY LARGER THAN THE ONLY OTHER STAINLESS-steel tea-ball of my acqaintance....a tea-ball which my father had over 30years ago.... It takes me back in time, just to look at it! I'm glad tea-balls are back! The main difference between the two is that this new one is a bit larger on the top. The tea-ball my father had looked like an enlarged acorn. This tea-ball looks the same....except, with the larger top, it now resembles an Easter-egg more than an acorn. This tea-ball -- at about 3 inches by 2 iches, is about 3/4 of an inch taller than the one my father had..... A tea-expert I once spoke to told me that modern tea-bags don't give the tea enough room to e-x-p-a-n-d. A crushed tea leaf will not give out as much flavour, so the larger the tea-ball, the bigger, I think. This tea-ball gives more room than I have ever seen in any other tea-infuser....so it presumably makes better tea.Unlike mesh balls, (at least those I have known), "snap closed" tea infusers, and pretty little novelty teapot shaped infusers, this one is easy to open, and large enough to be easy to clean. The screw-closure between the two halves is wide and easily put together and taken apart. The large spacing of the screw closure, as well as the composition of stainless steel, ensures that this tea-bll will NOT become rusty.I just got my tea-ball about a week ago, but think I will be able to use it for many years. I find myself wishing another type could be made -- the same, but with smaller holes....so that tea from tea-bags could be put into another version of this tea-ball, as well!If there are other, better tea balls, I do not know of them, nor can I imagine them. For one to three cups of tea, this little ball is PERFECT!
