I have used a concept 2 rowing machine for many years, and have recently found the seat hard (which I guess means less butt fat, so progress). This pad made the seat much more comfortable. It did not slide off after 30 minutes of effort, so my initial concern about lack of securing straps was not warranted.

I try to do a half hour rowing sessions at least every other day, sometimes a couple of times a day. I rarely row for more than that at one time. For my sessions, this seat feels great under me. It's firm but cushy at the same time. It easily compresses a little but gets pretty firm when you're sitting on it with your whole weight. I don't like hard seats but I'm good with this.I am using this for now on top of a thin foam pad that I got from Cencept2 when I got my pandemic rower. By now, the pad's a bit worn and torn, especially since a cat found it and tried scratching at it. It's also not as thick and supportive as I would like. The foam is stuck to the seat with an adhesive and I haven't wanted to pull it all the way off yet. This seat stays on the foam perfectly though. There's a lot more friction between the cushion's silicone and the foam seat cover than there is between the seat's wheels and the bar.Overall, no complaints. It feels good and cushions my bony bits. I can't find any flaws in materials or construction of mine. I find it to be a useful aid in rowing.

I've been using the same gel top seat cushion for years on my semi-recumbent bike, which has a seat shaped like a rowing machine, so I use a cushion made for a rowing machine. When I saw the Home & Rowe Rowing Machine Seat Cushion, I thought I'd give a different cushion a try and ordered it.It seems well made with no loose threads, sharp or weird edges or any issues. has a rubber smell - no surprise there - that seemed to fade fairly rapidly. It is a little shorter from front to back than the cushion I have been using, but that didn't affect me either way. It stuck to the machine's own seat very well, which I liked. And here is where we get to personal anatomy and preference. For me, I found this seat cushion quite firm, and it caused pain in my hip joints, which I have experienced when riding a bike - firmer seats and I do not get along. But here's the thing - lots of people I know rode bikes with the same firmer seats that caused me discomfort and felt the seats were comfortable and supportive. So if you're a person who likes firmer seats on your rower or use a cushion for a rower on a semi-recumbent or recumbent bike with the same shape seat as a rower, this cushion may be just what you're looking for. It's firm but not hard, so I'd consider it supportive, and the current price seems like a good value, although I received this cushion from Amazon in exchange for a review. Amazon does not ask that the reviews be positive at all, just that we are honest and describe our experiences. As far as ratings go, the cushion description and images are accurate, with one exception. They say "Enhanced Comfort & Support – Designed for rowers who demand extra cushioning", and I don't find it to have extra cushioning at all, so I'm removing a star. Otherwise, price and quality seem good. I just don't recommend this for those like me who prefer a softer cushion.

We have a Concept 2 rowing machine which we generally love. The only real downside is that the seat, which is a pretty hard plastic, can become quite uncomfortable for some of us during any session or reasonable length. But not ever user in our household finds that to be the case.We had previously gotten a cushion that straps into place, but that was annoying to put on and off as different family members used the machine. The other thing about that one was that it was really really thick, so it changed the feel of the rower quite a bit (e.g., it seems there is something easier about being boosted up relative to the rowing mechanics). So we decided to try this as an alternative. There are no straps -- it just sits on top of the original plastic seat. So that makes it easy to use or not use. It has some non-slip material on the bottom that seems to work fine, at least in the early days of usage. We'll see how it wears over time. It's thinner than the other one we had, but still provides enough cushion to make longer sessions more tolerable. But it also feels like it affects the rowing mechanics a bit less than the other thicker cushion we tried. So overall, we are quite pleased with this. It's a simple solution to solve an issue some of our family had, while not getting in the way for the other family members who didn't have that comfort issue.

The Rowe Rowing Machine Seat Cushion is an excellent seat cushion for your rower. The pad is designed with Concept 2 rowers in mind, but should fit most rowers. (I have a Whipr rower and the seat cover works perfectly.) The pad fits over your existing seat and is thicker than most other seat cushions, giving you two inches of extra padding, which makes for a softer row. The bottom of the pad has wavy silicone strips embedded in the fabric that prevent slippage. For me, this pad made a huge difference and made my rower much more comfortable. The pad does take a lot of pressure off my tailbone, which is a real game changer. It is important to be aware that this seat cover will increase your seat height by 1-2 inches. For me this did not make a difference, but more sensitive rowers may not be happy about any change in position. The silicone stripping on the bottom of the seat cover definitely hold it in place. The seat on the Whipr is not all that contoured--for more contoured rower seats, though, it may not hold as firm. All in all, this made for a more comfortable row. It really allows me to use my machine more times per week. Recommended.

Makes it easier to use the rowing machine, specially during linger sessions.Fits right on top and the bottom grip keeps it in place.
