Good shape, good padding and more importantly is stays in place. Plus dries quickly.

The pad does help a bit. It delayed the pain on my sit bones an extra five minutes or so but by the time I get to 15 minutes my pain is back. It may be better for rowers with more time on the seat. I've only been on my rower for a couple of months. I use the pad but it only delays the onset of the pain and does not completely cushion my seat.

The pad has very little cushioning built in to it. I find I still have to put a towel over the top of it to get any cushioning with it. I do not think there is any gel built into the pad itself. It has 2 circular pads on each side, but they are not any thicker than the rest of the pad itself. Bad advertising and not very good for what most people will buy it for, cushioning. There is no Skwoosh to it. Not recommended, especially for the $39.95 price point.I am going to return this device.

Good product. I have not had any problems with it slipping. This pad just helps with comfort and with nerve pressure that can cause numbness in my leg.

I purchased this to use with the Concept2 Model E rower. After using the rower for an extended period of time, I was starting to experience pain in my buttocks. I had already purchased the adhesive seat pad sold by Concept2, but found that it did nothing to relieve the pain. On the advice of another reviewer, I purchased the Skwoosh Master Row Pad and placed it on top of the adhesive pad and seat. Not only did I find it to be uncomfortable, but it actually made things worse. The pain was so excruciating that I removed the Skwoosh and went back to using the adhesive pad alone.Although I row for over an hour a day, I would have expected this product to at least provide some relief. To find that it made things even worse is pretty bad, especially since the cost to make this item couldn't be more than a few dollars. In my ongoing effort to resolve this issue, I've just placed an order for a EndureRow rowing machine seat to replace the one that came with my rower. At a cost of $149, it's an expensive alternative to the standard seat, but hopefully it will provide a solution to my ongoing pain. I'll provide an update after the replacement seat arrives.Update: 05/29/2014 ~ I tried out the EndureRow rowing machine seat for a few days, but didn't like it. Unfortunately, it provided no relief for my buttocks pain and for $149 is very costly.

"Give it a chance." There is a slip inside the package with those words, and some instructions. They are spot on. Give it a chance. It does work, and it does work quite well, you just have to follow the instructions (smooth before use, facing right direction, finding right position on it), and get used to it. It may seem crazy thin, but it does work. So go ahead, if you are tired of a sore butt when rowing, 'give this a chance'.

I purchased a Concept 2 rower and immediately knew that I needed something to help cushion the seat. For my first purchase from Amazon, I bought the Concept 2 Rower Foam Seat Pad. The rower was awesome so the seat pad from the same brand should be great too right? Nope. If you row for a half hour and your butt is killing you, then the product is not doing the job. I came back to Amazon after looking everywhere else online too and decided to try out this Skwoosh Master Row Pad. Apparently these 2 products are the only seat pads for a rowing machine. I did not find anything anywhere else on the internet at all, only ones designed for actual boats and kayak's. So, I purchased this product, removed the foam seat pad, and this really was no better. It is flat as a pancake and the small amount of gel in the butt circles does not provide enough cushioning to keep me comfortable during a rowing session. After that, I decided to make my own solution on the problem, since there were really no other options out there that I found. I put the Concept 2 Foam Pad back on the seat, and then put this Skwoosh Row Pad on top of that. Surprisingly, it actually works. I can now go through a good 30 minute rowing session without any discomfort on my bum.My conclusion, this product alone will not keep you comfortable. The Concept 2 Foam Pad on its own will not keep you comfortable. But I decided to share my solution of using the two together in case anyone else wants to give it a try.

Purchased my gel pad to complete a challenge row on the Concept2 website. The factory standard seat is a bit hard and long rows become uncomfortable without some padding. The gel pad performs as advertised and definitely provides more padding, especially for pressure points. It takes a while to figure out where to position the pad on the rower seat, but once in place, makes rowing much more comfortable. Completed 1/2 marathon on 4/28 with no discomfort.

I have a Kettler LS Ergo rowing machine and although the seat is rather cushy I needed more padding. I was surprised that after 40 minutes of rowing my backside and back felt fine. It must be the placement of the gel pads. I do think this is rather pricey but because it worked I didn't return it. Also it does stay put while I'm rowing but when I get up it moves so I bought some velcro straps and secured it to the seat.
