Nice switch - especially for 16 bucks. It doesn't feel like a little cheap toy; all the plastic pieces are solid chunks o' plastic. The switching action feels nice - she clicks with intent into position. The terminals aren't super heavy duty (only rated 32 amps) Still, think she'd take a 6 or 7 Awg.I had intended, when I ordered, to use this switch – to switch - between two 48v battery banks fed from a solar controller. While that would have worked great – I would soon have to swap her out for a switch with more capacity after the PV array expansion. I've decided to use her on my little '53 Homecraft Delta lathe as a reversing switch. I'm powering the lathe with a 1 ½ hp 90 volt dc motor, and this is The PerFecT switch for reversing a low draw DC motor.The barrel on the switch is 2.27” - so, a donkeys hair bigger than 2 1/4”. A two inch hole saw is too small & and you'll be left with a gap if you use a 2 1/2” hole saw. If mounting in wood a 2 1/4” hole saw, jig saw, or magic hammer would be helpful.Tested: Continuity all good.5 Stars for The MINGSONG Rotary Transfer SwitchThanks for Reading

Needing something to allow switching between two 240 volt outlets for my shop. The switch seems very well made and the faceplate and body will be pretty simple to integrate into a 240 box and blank cover plate. The screws and isolation recesses for the terminals look like they'll work well and be safe as well.

I was able to use this as a reverse on off switch for a half horsepower motor on a cement mixer. It’s great so far. We’ll see how long it lives.

I bought this switch for my milling machine, as it states it being a transfer switch, momentary on and off. The bad news is that it does not work as an "On/Off" switch for a milling machine that needs to go forward and reverse with the switch. It has the power requirements, but does not allow to energize it for my needs.

This switch is pretty much like any other of this particular style. It feels pretty stout and you can visually see the contact open and close. The plastic molding and manufacturing are pretty good, though I did notice that the contacts don't quite line up with each other (you can see on the attached pictures). I also don't care too much for open air contacts as they can get dirty easily. Functionally, it works, and I'm sure that there will be a lot of clicks on this switch before it wears out. Good job Mingsong!
