I normally use Vandoren Java red reeds number 3, but a friend of mine tried these and loved them, so he gave me one to try and I was very pleased, so I decided to purchase a box of my own.Pros:*The majority of the reeds in the box are ready to use without me having to adjust/file/shave or otherwise work the reed to my taste or what I need from it.*It gives me a very clear and clean sound, even (or specially) in the lower register*That clearness and cleanness is consistent in all the registers*I live in very hot weather, and of course the reed gets a bit softer in the heat like they all do, but its an acceptable amount (I've had reeds that I've had to change after 15 min because they get paper thin with the heat and it becomes impossible to keep playing)Cons:*They are a bit pricier than my usual brandHad a bit of an issue with the shipment, took a bit long to arrive but it was a problem with the carrier (probably the holiday rush), and the seller was very kind and quick to respond when I wrote and expressed my concern, so kudos for that.So far I like these reeds, so I'll probably buy more and alternate with my java red, depending on what and where I'll be playing.
