I bought this DST to replace my old one which I bought over 20 years ago. I was keen on the new model because it uses an eyebolt to mount the tambourine, and also has the impact rail on the top. The rail is great and it will definitely keep the tambourine in good shape. The eyebolt holds the unit steady on the mounting rods, but the wingnut will unscrew and fall off in the bag if not firmly tightened down. Not sure what the fix is but it is an annoyance compared to my old one.

I bought this for a song my band is doing and overall it’s very well made and certainly loud enough. You can play it with the same ferocity as you play your high hat without worrying.My one gripe is it moves around. You can’t tighten it down sufficiently enough. They need to come up with a way to better clamp it to the high hat post. It’s certainly very usable, but the fact that it rolls around is irritating.

Love this tambourine. Loud musical jingle sound. Bought Rhythm Tech DMS2 universal mount so I could stand mount it.

This is a good-sounding tambourine, but unfortunately the plastic frame is too flexible. When you strike it with a stick, the frame flexes and allows the jingles to rattle around for far too long. It sits on the stand and vibrates long after the hit. (About one second if you hit it fairly hard). If it were stiffer plastic it would be perfect!

I've had this tambo before for many years/tours and had lost in in my travels at some point. I purchased this to replace it. Still a great product...Nice price!
