I use this antenna in combination with a GMRS repeater while camping to help keep in touch with family. We get about a 10mile range with hand held radios bouncing through the RT97 repeater attached to this antenna.Great for helping keep in touch while on trails, and when different family members are doing different activities like the kids walking the dog while we are at base camp prepping dinner.It is well tuned for GMRS comes up as a 1.25 : 1 on my VNA. I like the design, and it easily stows under the camper with the Starlink pole when we are not using it.

My antenna broke in the spring at the connector. I was not happy. Amazon would not send a new one only a refund. I contacted them at there website and they are helping me. See what happens

I’m quite pleased with this antenna. It’s on my Jeep TJ , and swr on the nano is 1.08 at 462. Was running 1/4 wave antenna and this is a huge boost on tx /rx over that. The spring in this is heavy. Think 102” whip spring type heavy. Seems well built. I have zero complaints with looks /mounting /performance so far. There’s zero wind noise at hiway speed (none noticeable anyway ). I’m pleased and have no issue buying the same antenna again if ever needed.

If youre under a canopy of trees or between buildings a lower gain antenna actually works better, on the highway or open area this thing is powerful. My son has one on his semi and we hit repeaters 30-40 miles away on less than 10 watts! Thats what made me decide to get this particular antenna. The coax was a little short for my application so I ordered a 10 foot jumper, it seems to work fine, and now I have a spot to add an amplifier in the future. On a side note, they forgot to include my u bolts so I had to improvise and just bolted it to the back door of my van. (Minus 1 star for quality control). Otherwise this is an awesome antenna.***Update*** I reached out to Amazon, who put me in touch with Retivis Direct. They were a pleasure to work with and very understanding. They are sending me the missing pieces by mail. Seems like they really stand behind their product and value customer satisfaction. 5 Stars for Retivis and their customer service team!
