I bought this speaker to replace a blown Mackie LC18-4002. I was hoping for a "direct" replacement that would drop in and play. It's a nice speaker, well-built, but not a direct replacement for the Mackie. The mounting holes do not line up with the Mackie speaker, which means you have to drill new holes around the rim and install new T-nuts. This speaker is also deeper, so it sits lower in the cabinet - the magnet is thicker. I don't mind having a larger magnet, but I had to make modifications to the cabinet for this speaker to sit properly. So, in general a nice speaker, but be prepared to make modifications to your cabinet.
