These are metal and are very sturdy, they fit perfectly, very nice product, the only downside to it is that they do not come with the round screws, so you have to have screws left over from the old ones, or you have to get new screws to hold them all, but the handles themselves a fantastic

Would have given all 5 stars... If they included a screw. They fit my vintage travel trailer windows perfectly....i had to hunt at the hardware store for the screws.

Sturdy. Just the ticket to replace the plastic cranks that strip out, when the vent gets tired, or, the attaching screw gets loose. Great replacement for a stupid round knob, too. My only complaint is the recess that the screw goes into gets smaller as it gets deeper. I doesn't let most standard 8-32 screws heads bottom out against the bottom of the hole. I drilled one out, but then realized just grinding a bit off the rim of the screw head, to make the diameter smaller, was quicker and easier. I'm all about quick and easy!
