Super easy break-in as my son wants to play catch every day. Not a lot of padding where the index finger is, so you definitely feel it when not caught perfectly.

This review is for the 12.75" Baseball glove designed for Adults playing in the outfield, and right hand throwers. It has a Pro H web with a 302C pattern. R93029-6BG is a great glove at a great price. Break it in for yourself and don't beat it up with a mallet. You can hurt them that way. If you feel the need to do that, there are places that will break them in the last 20% without issues, or mallets. Rawlings, even though they sell mallets, recommend playing catch to complete the process, and so do I. Looks like quality that will be there for a very long time. Have fun breaking it in another 20%, and how you know that you have reached 20% is when you come up with a plan that you can follow and then you realize you are already there.

For reference, my son is an average sized 12 year old (5'3, 105lbs) that plays both rec league and travel ball. He uses this glove for shortstop or third base. This glove comes already slightly broken in due to the softness of the leather. My son needed something mid-season. We didn't have the time to break in a new glove and my wallet didn't want to shell out for a high end Heart of the Hide or A2000. Within a week, my son was using this in his games and loves it. It probably doesn't have the longevity like the high end gloves and the leather will break down faster but for the price and ease of break in, this is a great option. Most families shouldn't be shelling out $300 for a youth glove anyway. This one will last several years (maybe more) for half the cost. It is well made and easy to break in.

It’s a great glove, but far from game ready as the title suggested. Definitely needs a lot of breaking in

Really nice glove for the price. It's fairly soft leather so should break in very quickly. There are different fits and glove patterns available. I bought a 200 pattern (pocket shape) and a standard size fit (opening for the hand). I've got adult L/XL hands and it fits fine. There are two adjustment holes on the wrist strap so the lacing could re threaded to make the opening for the hand smaller if need be. Fit and pattern types are explained on Rawlings custom glove website page. Overall, I think it's good value for money.
