This catcher's mitt is fairly decent for the price. It needs some breaking in as almost all gloves do, and for the price it's fairly decent. It fits my 8 year old son's hand pretty well. We're primarily going to use it for practice in the backyard and he'll continue to use the team's mitt for games. If your kid is serious about catching, I'd probably go with a more established brand and pay a bit more. But if you're extremely budget conscious, this might very well work for you.

My son played little league and I cannot tell you how much this eased my worries when he decided he wanted to become a catcher. He is such a little dude, and this glove truly protected him. I also chose this glove because he is little and before I bought more gear and went all out, I wanted to make sure it was a sport he wanted to play. He has mostly practiced with it but after many days in and days out of heavy use it has truly held up. It is extremely durable and thick, so his hand never got sore during practice. Next year during games it will definitely be his go to glove.

This is certainly not as cheaply made as the gloves you find at big box stores. Certainly seems to be actual leather which was a pleasant surprise. It’s marketed as a youth mitt and arrived almost completely broken in which I see as good and bad. Nice that the kids can use right away but does seem a bit flimsy. It also seems a little big for my youngest son (9 years old) as it fits on my hand fairly well. The colors are nice and being leather I do think it provides good value for the money.

My kids played Little League and are starting to become interested in other positions like catcher. Before we committed to buying all of the catchers gear and a more expensive glove I wanted to make sure they enjoyed playing the position. This glove does just that. It is comfortable to wear and provides enough padding to withstand being used throughout an entire game.
