1. It is made of aeronautical aluminum and CNC precision machining. It is robust and durable, light and easy to use;
2. Lightweight cavity design, a large number of 1/4" -20 & 3/8" -16 threaded holes, two ARRl locating holes and two cold shoes on the top and side for microphone, LED lights or the monitor bracket mounting.
3. The bottom of the cage has anti-slip pads and anti-deflection design to protect the camera from scratching and movement. It also built in 1/4" -20 screw holes on the bottom to attach the camera to tripod.
4. The bottom is 38mm wide sliding international standard for Arca-style plate design, which can be quickly installed on tripod ballhead compatiable with Arca Swiss Standard.
5. It would not block any buttons and interfaces of the camera or the installation of the battery, and providing different DIY possibilities for the camera accessories attaching.

Good product, the only flaws I saw but that are not a real break, is that the cage passes very close to the record button, so I suggest that they redirect this function in the camera and I changed the bottom screw because the original one is not very good, otherwise very cool

At first I thought there was a design flaw with this product because my camera jiggled constantly inside the cage. Turns out it wasn't the design or the product. Instead, there were no instructions to tighten every little screw, which turns out to have been the problem. That said, heed my cautionary tale. Tighten ALL the little screws on the cage BEFORE you mount the camera into it. That way your camera won't jiggle and move about.

I bought it for my Sony a7 II and I really like it, I would definitely recommend it. It has all the necessary holes and coldshoes for using it horizontal and vertical, and add a mic, a monitor and anything else you could need

A cheaper alternative to more expensive brands -- does the same AND comes WITH a handle. i have no complaints. Great price, great quality, does what it needs to.
