Only 4 stars because:I bought this as a back-up to my existing sleeve and I hope it works out - my existing sleeve is open at both ends and this one is closed at the bottom, like a test tube, so hopefully when or if I need it, it will fit and work out.

One end of this tube is rounded off and sealed. Still long enough to use the o-rings on the top and bottom. Nice design.

You cannot tell from the picture it is not open at both end. One end is closed and rounded. Make sure it matches what is needed for your system.

The product is as described and works properly. No issues. A note. The quarts tube is NOT the issue in this writing. I retro fit this item into a newer model. Works perfect and resolves the issue of the secondary O-ring leaking/slipping. The newer model water sterilizer leaks because of poor design, allowing water into the bulb chamber. You may be tempted to hand tighten an extra turn which will cause the quarts tube to break at the bottom because the flange is clipped by a piece of hardened plastic inside if not seated correctly. The spring may also not apply enough pressure to bulb allowing it to drops and disconnect. I used a small rubber ball at the bottom of tube which fixed this issue, preventing a tube break with this retro fit. The ball was because the newer models are open at the bottom and this one is rounded and closed like a beaker.I expect there will be a redesign soon...
