Brief Description:

Guitar chord families are built around a root note. Each root note has three major and three minor chords, in addition to a diminished chord as a seventh chord. These chords are constructed using the notes of the major scale. For example, C major has 7 notes: C-D-E-F-G-A-B. Therefore, in the key of C major, your chords will be C-Dm-Em-F-G-Am-Bdim. Learning these chord families will help to understand the chord progressions of any song and will also build confidence to play any song.

I love this poster. I'm grateful for a quick reference point when I'm in the middle of playing and I can look up and find the chord I need help with. This is great if you have a practice room. Much easier to look at than flipping through a chord book. Just sayin'. ;)

It's okay, but it does not have the #/b (sharp/flat) keys. The bigger issue is that it is sent rolled up, but because it is a fairly stiff plastic I can't get it to flatten out. I have it taped to a lectern, which I use as a music stand, but it continually wants to roll up and pulls the tape loose. I don't recommend this chart.

I started playing guitar over 30 years ago, and I really wish I’d had a reference like this at that time. This poster is easy to read, and the layout is perfect. It illustrates the basic chords associated with each key, and shows diagrams for each. It would have been nice if they also included extended chords like 7ths, 9ths, etc., but this is a very useful resource all the same. It’s made from firm material and is nicely laminated, but it ships in a tube shape which gives it a nasty curl that has to be corrected. I immediately rolled it backward in an attempt to fix it, but that caused noticeable creasing (and maybe even some cracking) in the lamination. I’d recommend being careful if you decide to try that.At $17.83 it’s priced fairly, but I think it would be a good idea to shop around a little before ordering because you can find a number of cheaper options here on Amazon. Even so, I really like this poster and am very pleased with it.My rating: 4 stars

Great chart for finding which chords are in the Family of what you are playing.

Why would anyone mail a laminated chord chart rolled up? I can't lay it flat to refer to it which is why I bought it. I don't think you can put it on a wall without it buckling either. Really unhappy about that! It also has 2 areas of folds (hope the pix show what I'm talking about) which look like they will make it even more difficult to flatten. I'm giving it only 2 stars due to this because unless I can flatten it out somehow, it's useless and at best, annoying to unroll every time you need to refer to it. I just wanted something I could lay out on my ottoman to look at while practicing chords as a beginner. Otherwise, it has clear, colorful and easy to read images and I like the size. I'd probably really like it if it had been mailed flat. Super disappointed.

I recently dedicated a whole room in my house to practice my guitar and this little poster is super handy to have on the wall right in front of me! I'm pretty slow so this a great cheat sheet. My only issue is that it is kind of small and hard to see from 6ft away. If this was bigger it would be a 5 star no brainer! It is laminated and should last a while. In the future I may try to get a bigger cheat sheet but for now it has been helpful.

Brilliant for songwriting,no more remembering chord families while trying to create, and also for learning new songs by ear. If you're good enough to play by numbers, it's great for transposing too.

Le poster est bien mais il était mal emballé et est arrivé abîmé(plié) donc inutilisable, je l'ai renvoyé.
